https://ringmagazine.com/en/news/mo...e-nick-ball-sam-goodman-cacace-ford-on-aug-16 Huge huge step up for Itauma.
I dont see this as a step up, it's simply another step. A name. It's what I suggested Moses should be doing, clean house domestically and Whyte is likely the logical first step to that...
For me going to from a good journeyman in Balogun to a weak contender that is still very live and experienced with good fights left in Whyte is incredibly brave and risky. Its bold to the point where it may be stupid. I don’t know how much Whyte has left in the tank as he might be a bit past it but he is just far too experienced and versatile for Itauma ATM especially if he is anywhere near his prime. He will take Itauma to the streets and push him to his limits. My prediction is basically a guess on how much Whyte has left but if he is anywhere near his prime, Whyte’s versatility and experience will be too much for Itauma. Whyte late TKO. I think this is too soon for Itauma. Dubois fought better guys than Itauma did before fighting Joyce and still lost. This could be a repeat.
If Whyte is that washed up then potentially, he could still have a lot left. Its a very dangerous and big leap in standard for Itauma.
Hopefully Whyte can ask a few questions of Itauma in the early rounds before getting his neck extended by another brutal uppercut KO
Good step up, Whyte could give him rounds because of his experience, but I think Itauma will knock him out in the later rounds...
Honestly probably not a considerable step up from McKean at this point tbh. Smart move by Itaumas team making this fight.
