This is a helluva fight but I’m going with my man Derek Chisora! that old war horse. Love that guy! I think DC could be stopped/hurt badly here Lyle probably hit about as hard as Haye and they’re similar size (though Haye’s unexpected angles and speed amplify the effect…) Lyle like “War” Chisora had his moments against some champs taking Foreman to the edge and boxing well with Ali but Chisora… that’s Tuesday this is a rarer instance (though becoming more common) where the active fighter has a much more old school / deeper resume. Chisora fought Fury x 3, Usyk, Takam, Whyte x2, Joyce, Helinus, Pulev x2 Haye, Vitali, Kabayel, Wallin, Parker x2 + more (I think Parker or Kaba becomes “the man” next 50-50 split) he is totally fearless and fights to win much like Lyle but he’s bigger, stronger, much more busy and durable. It’d be a great bout but Chisroa would IMO win 7/10 times… DC’s busy, quasi grabber wrestling, jerky weaving style wears Lyle down by 10 and then he’d go fight Foreman, Norton, Ali and Frazier within a year or two because he is disturbed.

It is right that we give Chisora his appropriate credit, and I was totally out of order bringing his Boxrec record up, but he has basically made a career out of losing.

I am going withy Lyle here.

Could go either way I suppose. No matter who wins I can’t imagine this being an easy fight for either of them

Lyle basically made a career off losing on a smaller scale… GF, Ali, Young and Cooney etc who’d RL beat that was that much better than who Chisora beat? They’re a similar tier of fighter just that Chisora fought longer, harder and was okay with being an opponent type for $$$. DC cut it close with very good boxers had he been the “house fighter” in some instances he may have been “more” he demonstrated ability above his achievements much like Lyle himself. How would a fearless 260lbs Frazier busy fearless fighter do in the landscape of 200lber types? Imagine Patterson vs Chisora or how he’d do against Norton.

Ron Lyle was tough enough to get off the canvas against Earnie shavers and George Foreman. Derek was sparked out by David Haye and Dillon Whyte. Ron was one of the hardest punchers George Foreman ever faced. Derek was an above average puncher at best. I don’t see how chisora can win an exchange with Lyle.

Whyte is a mammoth 246lbs with a dedicated body attack, DC survived the first fight and debatably won. Del Boy got caught flush many times by David Haye who hit as hard as anyone but was as fast as they came, didn’t see it coming he got caught at whacky angles… Lyle wasn’t fast nor quite “steady” in his signature losses to Ali and Foreman he spent himself. Chisora would be on him all 12 rounds he had a workrate according to compubox comparable to Frazier whilst being 260lbs… he’d get in, lean in all over Lyle and fight in that attrition sort of sloppy way he had and wear him out to a beat down. Chisora sounds like the not as good HW Ricky Hatton

Lyle, too much fortitude. It's Lyle by KO for me.

As I've said multiple times - don't quote me. Take your angst and baiting elsewhere.

    Cheers
