Even Bosh Jr has a nutritionist and S&C coach on board, whereas Martin is living like he's won a golden ticket to the Wonka factory as opposed to Saudi Riches. Hopefully, Bosh boxes well on Saturday, and an unmotivated Allen turns up so that he can be matched with Bakole next; at least he and Snr can compare notes in the build-up.
I've not read the whole thread, but I'm assuming 80% of people are hoping that Bakole's decline leads to a fight with Dillian Whyte. "THIS GUY...."
I quite like the noises that Itauma could end up facing Bakole this year. Uncle Frank says he’ll make the fight in a heartbeat.
Bakole's earning would need to be substantial for Billy Nelson to put him in with Itauma. He would be destroyed.
Really simple solution. Do a contract that says "if you want paid you have to weigh in 2 days before the show at 255" Then he'd lose the weight.
Spud Bakole turning Joey 12 into Joey 2 shows he is waiting to be boshed when he faces a real puncher.
The Parker fight proved that if Bakole is offered enough money to take a beating then he is up for it. This is prize fighting, and he is hardly calling the shots after the Parker loss and Ajagba draw. He can go away and hide for 2 years facing absolute stiffs earning monster munch money, but it doesn't help someone who is in their 40s and already well past it as a HW. He needs to cash in now on his name. But he maybe too proud to do so and have earned enough from his last 2 fights to be able to justify to himself turning down decent money for another tough fight.
A lot of stupid things are rationalised in the name of culture... that is awful in my humble view. Also, Bakole "don't want no smoke" with Itauma. Did I say it right?
Bakole beats him. And Ituama incredibly dull personality wise so they should work on that if they want him to be a star.
Would love to hear Billy Nelson's take on what unfolded last night. Guaranteed that he'd be bitter and wouldn't give Wardley as much credit as he deserves.
Probably something along the lines of "Bakole knocked him out in sparring. Everyone is ducking poor Martin".
