Why was Joe Louis so good at beating super heavies and by knockout?

Perhaps because he could land his shots much easier.

OK, but even on that basis, they should have done at least as well as the smaller guys he was fighting.

Louis and Dempsey destroyed larger fighters because they were quicker and the big guys are a big target. Me personally I rarely had problems with bigger guys in sparring it was always smaller guys. Size matters but so does speed and many other factors.

Please, Tyson's fights may have been "fixed" because he was in massive drug decline. Carnera's fights were fixed up from by the mob in the first place because he wasn't that good.

You are using the Baer fight? How many times did he get knocked down? You may want to rethink that.

This doesn’t make much sense. Tyson admits on camera that some of his fights were fixed and you make a bunch of baseless assumptions to defend him. Primo has no evidence of having fixed fights besides hearsay and you want to dismiss his entire career based on that. He wasn’t the only champion associated with the mob. Pretty much everyone was back then so what makes him special?
he badly injured his ankle in the first round against one of the hardest hitters in the division’s history and still fought on until the 11th round. How does a fighter who’s rendered immobile by an injury go 11 rounds against a power puncher like Baer without being able to take a hit?

Well you’re bad at getting it across. It’s sorta’ve the same as saying boxers like Greg page are not that good because he isn’t good as Muhammad Ali.

Lewis definitely. Bowe is comparable to Wlad, Vitali and Fury.

I've already explained the difference with Tyson, and you didn't read what I said about Baer.

Because Even though most of those giants were pretty good fighters, they lacked in solid defense. Their chins were also suspect. And they weren’t quick enough to negate Louis’s speed and combinations

While they might not have fit into the SHW category, Louis did crack a few never before cracked chins.

Max Baer is probably the most popular example - and at 6’3” 210 lbs, Max wasn’t exactly small.

As to the likes of Carnera, Buddy Baer and Simon, however one rates their chins, the extraordinary force of the punches Louis landed on them is irrefutable - due also to Louis’ perfect snap - as if the punches literally detonated on impact.

Louis power was very much entwined with his prime, lightning hand speed,

While Max Baer did bounce Carnera up and down plenty of times, Da Preem did incur an early round ankle injury and still managed to last 11 rounds despite taking numerous right hands, Max’s money punch.

Also, several of the 11 KDs weren’t wholly legit - rather, they involved some wrestling and pushing down. Imo, Louis’ destruction of Carnera was that much brutal and indicative of truly elite power in both hands.
