My personal choice would be one coming from Sam Langford:

"You'll Pardon me gentlemen, if i make the fight short. I have a train to catch."

    Honorable mentions would be:

"Prizefighting ain't the noblest of arts, and i ain't the noblest of artists." - Harry Greb

"The wind is old, but it keeps blowing." - Roberto Durán

"He can run, but he can't hide." - Joe Louis

And of course my favorite overall

"It may be for a moment, but my fire roars up so bright and hot, it’s almost blinding. And then, all that remains is pure white ash .” - Joe Yabuki

Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
    They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

    A few favs:

Willie Pastrano, when Dundee said he had Sonny Liston's number..
    "Either a .38, or a .45"

Pastrano again, when the ref asked if he knew where he was
"In Madison Square Garden, getting the **** kicked out of me."

Y'all are gonna hate me, but Teddy Atlas
“You go in there and you start backing this guy up and you start doing what we trained to do. Otherwise don’t come back to this ****ing corner.”

Iran Barkey, when a reporter asked what he planned to do after boxing.
    "Rob your house."

Tex Cobb...there are dozens, but my favorite is...
"When I got up I stuck to my plan, stumbling forward and getting hit in the face."

Sam Langord, when he saw his opponent's trainer slicing oranges for the between rounds.
"Man, you ain't gonna need them oranges."

Dempsey, when Jess Willard said the gloves were loaded.
    "All right, Jess, you won."

    Jack Johnson's famous greeting.
    "Well, here I is."

    Roberto Duran
"I was not in my best condition. Today I sent him to the hospital. Next timeI'll put him in the morgue."

    Mike Tyson
"I try to catch them right on the tip of the nose, because I try to punch the bone into the brain."

    Sonny Liston
Someday they're gonna write a blues song just for fighters. It''ll be a slow guitar, a soft trumpet and a bell.

Greg Haugan, coining a legendary phrase...
'The way I see it, sixty of the guys he fought were just Tijuana cab drivers that my mother could have knocked out.'

I went across the stage to Sullivan’s dressing-room and told him this fellow was the biggest and strongest looking man I’d ever seen.

In the middle of my description John said, with a grin: “Oh, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Take those gloves and get him ready.”

Duran has a quote about being something close to God after absolutely destroying someone, that's always good.

I'm partial to the reporter's quote about Joe Louis. "A credit to his race, the human race" or words to that effect.

“I’ll hit him with so many punches from so many angles, he’ll think he’s surrounded!”

“If he even DREAMS about beating me, he better wake up and apologize!”

    Any guesses?

"We wuz robbed!" -Joe Jacobs, Schmeling's manager, after losing the title to Sharkey

"What did you want me to do? Write him a letter?" -Jack Dempsey, after a reporter asked why he didn't say anything to Sharkey about hitting him low.

"Hey look, he fought Jerry Lewis. He fought the Nutty Professor!" - Greg Haugen, after seeing the name in Chavez' record while goading him.

"Well, you better keep your eyes on that ref, because someone out there is beating the hell out of me!" -I believe this was attributed to Max Baer during the Louis fight, when his corner said, "He hasn't touched you, kid."

"Mando's not in shape, he's been training in bars. I know this for a fact because I was with him." -Ruben Navarro, playing before reporters before his fight with Mando Ramos.

"In tennis, if you screw up, it's 15 love. In boxing, if you screw up, it's yer ass!" -Randy Cobb
