Any above average fight or card is PPV. If people keep paying, the promoters, fighters and broadcasters will keep taking.
Canelo vs Crawford has been confirmed to be on Netflix and not DAZN. I wonder what the PPV price will be ? 19.95 would be fantastic but hardly realistic.
There’s no PPV on Netflix, it is included, if you subscribe to it. The Tyson debacle a few months ago, a case in point, and the upcoming women’s show at MSG.
Part of your sub I believe. It’s a big gamble tbh, banking on enough people signing up to cover the costs but I’m sure the people at Netflix are more clued up than me when it comes to business.
DAZN, in my humble opinion, is bad for Boxing, both for the fans who struggle to pay the monthly fees which sneaked up from £9-99pm to £14-99pm (PPV Baby!!!) and the fighters who now have barely any eyeballs on themselves compared to SKY, TNT, C5, even bloody DAVE probably pulled in more punters!! Regards that price increase, I wasn't aware until the bill popped up on my phones Banking App. That, and charging PPV for the Oldham v Southend PO Final, broke my own personal straw. Canelo v Bud on Netflix FOC (most people have Netflix these days) is absolutely brilliant as is moving it from Friday 12th to Saturday 13th which means I can now watch it. Bud (Points) to secure a minor upset (no upset in my eyes). DAZN is basically trying to be a sparkly more expensive Box Nation. Hope it crashes and burns. Get Boxing back where people can view it without the extra excessive fees.
The David Adeleye vs TKV rematch was on the British title notices as 23 August in Manchester. Denzel Bentley vs Kieron Conway another good fight on the notices. Agreed but location and date not announced
British boxing has virtually disappeared from my TV now, bar the odd offering from Channel 5 and whatever the BBC may pick up. If sky are no longer going to air the late night top rank fights I think I'll be left to boxing gold replays of old fights. Time to retire to the classic section.
So after Queensbury joined up with DAZN I paid for a subscription. I can afford it and will get my moneys worth. So this evening after a run, hearing about the card in Ghana and after catching up on Clarksons Farm thought I would watch the rest of the Ghana card. Well **** me it's a PPV. What sort of lunatic would pay for an obscure card on an obscure streaming platform. Crazy. What are Amir Khan promotions thinking? Or DAZN.
Deontay 'Washed Up' Wilder's upcoming fight v Tyrrell Hardon is on yet another subscription channel BLK Prime and wait for it - this is on BLK Box Office.
