This is great news that we will no longer have to put up with boring fights on Riyadh shows. I am glad these fighters are getting put on notice. Fans don't want to spend their hard earned on safety first cowards.

So how do you prevent that? Write it into the contract? Then who gets to make the judgement call when it is to much?

I am thinking a guy like Devin Haney will be given one more chance but if he runs again they won't have him back.

**** him. I hope they don’t give him a penny more. I’ve seen enough to never ever want to see him again.

Oh I totally agree the only reason I would want to see him in the ring again is to get his head knocked off his shoulders.

They say that and then allow Canelo to fight a Cuban runner and were just trying to make Haney fight Lopez. They should never give Haney another chance.

I think after seeing Scull and Haney and the backlash they received they are saying this. I think it's a warning to guys like Haney and Shakur that like to run. They are saying get in there and have a fight or no more pay days.

I think it’s great, majority of fans want to see fights real fights, gladiator style, think Ward vs Gatti, Runners should be run out of town.

I hate this. Promoters(or whatever Turki is)don't get to tell fighters how to fight. A fighters job is to win within the confines of the rules. They are copying Dana White and his draconian performance bonuses. You might not like boring fights but ruining the careers of cyclists because you find them boring is wrong. Exciting fighters aren't entitled to title shots and belts because they entertain you.

If you strip a Floyd Mayweather of an oppurtunity because hes boring thats not the same as beating him in the ring. Thats not right and its against the very nature of sporting competition.

I absolutely get where you're coming from.

Ultimately, it's a bit like the Twitter/Facebook free speech argument... Platforms are not the state - should they be free to choose what does and doesn't get broadcast on their channels?

Likewise Turki isn't an org, he can't completely gatekeep the belts away from boring fighters just as Twitter and Facebook can't prevent you having free speech elsewhere...

I'm not sure exactly how I feel about it - am I more likely to pay for a better show? Quite possibly...

At what point does Turki become defacto in charge of belts? And does that change things?
