    No not trolling

    1st part
Prime Calzaghe was a big puncher when his hands were not damaged.
The shot, bloated, damaged hands, end of career Calzaghe was able to beat Jones but was at the end of his career and closer to the end of his career than Jones

    2nd part
    Canelo out pointing Toney.
Toney often had close debatable decisions or close fights - R Johnson, D Tiberi, McCallum, Sosa, S Williams, Griffin. Thadzi
And was in close fights before finding the finish against Nunn and Williams
Why do you feel Canelo wouldn't be able to out point Toney?

    3rd part
Eubank out pointing Ward and Canelo.
I'm shocked you can't see it as a possibility.
Eubank has one of the best SMW resumes ever, far greater than those 2 even if not in amount of world titles.
I couldn't fathom either beating a prime in form Eubank.
Many forget that Eubank was fighting almost every month and not letting his body rest. He wasn't taking the right fight at the right time if you know what I mean

    So do I
It did get very boring having the same discussion about a retired fighter

It's not to the same degree but I notice a similar thing happening with Usyk who is another excellent fighter and if the forum is still in existence 5 years after he retires, expect a similar sort of trend

    I remember that as well.

And as an ardent fan of the Welshman, I defended him against the misguided and the trolls on here.

And I believe he is the greatest SMW of all-time.

And I believe prime Calzage beats everyone on your list...

    ...except RJJ.

Prime Roy was on another level.
Calzaghe has said that he couldn't beat a prime Roy.

If you had set up the order of play a bit differently, the final would have been Joe v Roy, with Roy winning and Joe being the runner-up.

I had to keep some fighters on opposite sides of the draw to avoid rematches

    Benn/Eubank
    Froch/Ward
    Jones/Toney

Now Calz and Canelo never fought, but by default they have to be on opposite sides, and Calz has fought Eubank in a meaningful way (his fight with Jones isn't meaningful apart from proving Jones can always hit him and hurt him, even shot to ****)

Calzaghe was still world class when he fought RJJ big difference where as RJJ wasn't world class anymore RJJ never beat a single top 10 ranked fighter again after the loss to Tarver.

And yet Calzaghe never even came close to stopping a shot RJJ who sat on the ropes all night with no offence.

So I don't see Calzaghe stopping a prime RJJ.

Half of those fights you mentioned for Toney were at Light Heavyweight which was historically Toney's worst weight class which has no relevance to his Super Middleweight form.

McCallum is a great ? Johnson was very good ? The Sosa and Williams fights were not that close. Nunn would be one of the best prime opponents Canelo has ever fought and it would be debatable Canelo could even beat Nunn.

Canelo is come forward fighter with slow feet and limited output so what makes you think he would beat a master counter puncher like Toney by a wide points victory ?

What fighter has Canelo fought on the level of Toney where he's beaten them by a wide points win ?

And are we going to forget Canelo's close decisions aswell ?

Eubank has more filler due to his title defences but he didn't fight any of the top American fighters and mostly defended his title against modest opposition after the Watson fight.

I'm also baffled that you think Eubank can beat Canelo but Toney loses by a wide points decision to Canelo ? When pretty much anyone would rate Toney above Eubank on a H2H basis.

And you also don't mention all of Eubanks close decisions he had and quite a few gift decisions aswell Watson 1, Benn 2, Schommer, Close, etc.

Canelo and Ward are a level above anyone Eubank has beaten so yes I do find it hard to believe you're so confident Eubank outpoints both of them.

I've battled Bailey for over 13 years.

He'll try and convince you that black is white, and that day is night.

    Ha!

    I'm glad that he's back.

    An ESB legend.

    Yes, he MUST be trolling.

Prime Roy is a tall order - though if there is anyone with a chance, it's Zags volume and angles and insane workrate.

One things for sure, JC from Lacey vs RJJ that shutout Toney would have been something to see.

No stoppage though, I'd see Roy having built up enough of a lead with maybe a knockdown or two to stem a late rally from Zags to get a UD or maybe SD
