What if the lightweight Shane did not jump up two weight classes and a Rick Hatton was part of sugars era instead... At 140, how do they match up? As well how does the young gun Oscar at 140 do against a 140 Ricky Hatton? At junior welterweight if Hatton was on the same era.
You can't be serious. Hatton is/was not in the same league as guys like Mosley and de la Hoya. Not even close. They would toy with him like Pacquaio toyed with him.
Shane was unbelievably strong on top of being blessed with incredible hand speed. He would eat Ricky alive. Oscar would like take his head off with his left hook after jabbing him silly. Both Oscar and Shane won titles at 154 against strong fighter's. I just don't see Ricky being able to hang with either of them. With that said, I didn't think Ricky had a chance against Koysta either and he proved me wrong. Lol
I say both (Oscar and Shane) win by stoppage. Hatton is a great Brawler but the other two were more complete fighters, had better footwork, better timing, were faster and more versatile. Great respect for a warrior like Ricky but his best career wins are against Tszyu and Castillo faded, De La Hoya and Mosley in their prime were simply too skill for the English fighter.
Hatton stands no chance against those 2, unless it is in Manchester with Diamond Dave Parriss as the ref
Yeah, they're both just too big and too athletic for Hatton to impose himself. I do think that Hatton is potentially a bad match-up for DLH as his pressure would put DLHs iffy stamina and poor relaxation into serious trouble, but he's just not big/good/tough enough to get it done. Mosely decapitates him, though.
