If fighter A and B fight twice, and A beats fighter B in two fights.........................a trilogy is pointless

Pointless fight. Beating a guy for a 3rd time doesn’t cement his legacy.

His legacy is already cemented as one of the goats, so why not take the money fights. Parker, Kabayel, Hrgovic won't help his legacy or fill his pockets, he's earned it all

Because in all of Usyk's Heavyweight fights he would've only fought 5 different opponents in 6 years whilst having fought the same opponents 7 times that would be ridiculous. Especially when Usyk has won those fights comprehensively enough that a 3rd fight between Fury and Joshua would be pointless.

The Heavyweight division keeps getting stalled with pointless rematches a new deserving challenger deserves their shot.

As for Parker and Kabayel not helping his legacy ? I disagree I think they add more to his legacy than a pointless 3rd fight with Fury or Joshua who haven't even been the best Heavyweights for the past few years.

The only reason would be if there was a rematch clause on the second fight and the loser refuses to let it go...

Like Wilder against Fury - third fight was pointless, but the rematch clause meant it had to happen.

That said, it's unusual to have a rematch clause on a rematch...

Even if Fury had that clause, which he doesn't, it would be an absolutely pointless fight - Fury's lost twice very clearly now, he'll have declined more since the second bout too (purely through not having fought since)...

It would make zero sense for Usyk to take it.

    Mostly agree...

Parker would definitely add to his legacy.

Kabayel might... It depends what he went on to do after losing (which IMHO he would) - it's far from impossible that he'd run away to hide in obscurity again, just like he did after beating Chisora.

    This is exactly right.

The way I see it is this:

He should fight Parker because it is good for both guys. A Parker win would be a legacy boost for him, and on Parker's side, Joe is also fighting to boost his legacy. He's already won a title....he's already got an impressive resume, so beating a great fighter is all that is left. Works for both men.

He should not fight Kabeyal because it would be better for both men if he didn't. Agit at this point adds little to Usyk's credentials, and Kabeyal himself would be better off waiting and picking up a vacant belt when Usyk hands them up.

    But, we shall see.

Who in their right mind would want to see Fury or AJ again with Usyk?

If Uysk toys with Dubious then I think only Kabayel or Fury will wet his whistle.

What would the point be? He beat Fury more clearly the second time.

he gets past Dubois and wants to add to legacy, he needs to fight Parker.

He's already beaten Fury twice. How will a third win increase his status?? And it's not like Fury has rebounded with any significant wins since losing to Usyk. Hell, if Ngannou wasn't robbed (As MOST people saw), it would be three losses in a row and no wins since 2023.

I do find it interesting you are upping Dubois' record using AJ, when you yourself don't even think highly at all of AJ. And I don't know if you recall, but you and I had a discussion regarding AJ getting a title shot a while back because you felt he had enough shots and wanted others to get a shot.

YOu don't see a cent of money, so why do you care that Usyk fights for whomever gets him the most money? Are you a boxing fan or some financial analyst? Some of want him to face the best available guy instead of pointless rematches.
