Alright folks, this one kinda flew under the radar, but it's definitely worth watching. Marko Milun 28yo, 6'3", 227lbs, 82"+ wingspan https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/872508 This content is protected Piotr Lacz 27yo, 5'12", 223lbs, 75" wingspan https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/1017850 Croatian southpaw Marko Milun is stepping back into the ring for his second pro fight, and he’s not going for the usual soft touch – he’s taking on Piotr Lacz, who’s sitting at 13-0 and just beat an unbeaten 10-0 opponent. Respect where it’s due. Now full disclosure: I’ve been following Milun since his amateur days, and yeah – I’m a fan. He had a solid amateur career with medals at Euro-level and plenty of experience on the international stage. Always been a fun guy to watch: tall, rangy, sharp left hand, and that insane 210+ cm wingspan. You can’t teach that. Physically, he’s got the tools. Over 1.90m tall, big frame, tricky stance, and good pop on the counters. BUT – and I’m being real here – his defense has always been a bit suspect. Even in the amateurs he’d eat some shots he shouldn’t have. He’s got that classic “offense-first” southpaw vibe, and sometimes he hangs around too long in the pocket. Still... you can see the potential. If he cleans up the gaps, tightens that guard, and uses his reach properly, I really think he can go places. The upside is there. Lacz, on the other hand, isn’t a world-beater either, but he’s clearly further along. 13 fights, all wins, and coming off a decent W. He’s a solid, straightforward guy with good timing, and he knows how to win. So yeah – this isn’t exactly Fury vs Usyk, but it’s a proper test for a 1-0 prospect. And that’s what makes it interesting. I’ll be watching closely to see how Milun handles someone with real experience. This is the kind of fight where you find out what someone’s made of. Anyone else keeping an eye on this one?
On a Riyadh card, guessing it'll be televised? Also this will be their third encounter; Milun went 0-2 in the amateurs against Łącz.
Apparently it's this coming Saturday on the 21st. Milun has a very good offence, I'd put him and his compatriot, rival and fellow new pro ..Luka Pratljacic in a top heavweight prospects list already. But Milun did get knocked out a few times in the amateurs . he doesn't have the best chin. This is a tough match for his 2nd pro fight. Milun has all the talent and tools to win, but it could be a Salido type wrong opponent for your 2nd pro fight. I pick Milun, but I'm not fully confident.
Thanks a lot. These kinds of posts are one of the main reasons why I joined this forum! Nice to have this headsup to watch this fight
