Why do people still think aj is a better fighter than Daniel Dubois

Dubois is clearly a better version of aj. He would replicate all of ajs wins if he fought the same guys. Current Dubois would beat a green Parker and flatten the senior citizens on his record. Aj looked bad against Helanius, he could lose to someone like Hrgovic. Dubois isn't even all that, Fury is much better but this much is obvious to me

 

AJ is still levels above Dubois, and it's not even close when you look at the bigger picture. Dubois might be improving, sure, but saying he's a better version of AJ? That’s a big reach.

First off, AJ’s resume is stacked compared to Dubois. He beat guys like Klitschko (even if old, still dangerous), Povetkin, Whyte, and yeah, even Parker – and he fought them when they were all still pretty damn good. AJ unified belts, fought top guys back to back, and got in the ring with killers when he didn’t have to. Dubois is just now getting into that kinda competition.

You said Dubois would replicate AJ’s wins? That’s all hypothetical, we don’t know how he would’ve handled the pressure or the stage. AJ went 12 rounds with Usyk and didn’t fold. Dubois quit with a jab against Joyce

Yeah, AJ didn’t look amazing vs Helenius, but he still got the KO, didn’t he? And he’s been adapting his style – more measured, more patient. That’s not looking bad, that’s evolving. Meanwhile, Dubois looked good vs Hrgovic, but let’s not crown him king after one solid performance.

how can you say he quit, he got back up 3 times and was clearly hurt, exhausted and just going to take more punishment if allowed to continue

its a much easier argument to say Dubois quit against Joyce and Usyk, Dubois has shown good power and a jab but hes far too hittable I think

I think AJ has a recovery issue. He can get up from a kd no problem, but his head never clears it seems. Once he takes some good head shots, he never gets back to fighting properly.

I think even i've said he lacks a bit of heart, but does he? He does get up and keep trying. Took a horrific beating against Dubois, kept getting up. He just can't get properly back into it after getting up.

 

Dubois is still improving I think, we might be able to say for sure after another 4 or 5 fights.


Dubois looses his next one btw ...that'll put him and AJ on an even keel in that particular match-up respect.

 

Joshua and Dubois should fight, may the best man win?

Because Eddie Hearn is a master salesman and he did an amazing job packaging AJ as the perfect product. AJ could lose his next 5 fights and his fanboys would still bang on about his resume

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone get battered as one-sidedly as Joshua did by Dubois, yet people still argue the loser Joshua is better than the winner Dubois, it’s insane

I don't think the respective result above mean a great deal as all fights can be different, which is what I was pointing out to you when you were saying results would be replicated

Even after dropping his left hand before he got knocked down the first time against dubois he could have knocked dubois out if he didn’t drop the left hand again and was more patient.

 

Dillian Whyte would've beaten Dubois if Dubois fought a 16-0 (13) version of him in his 14th fight like Joshua did. Joshua isn't a world beater or an ATG, but neither is Dubois. I think his days at the top of the division are more limited than Joshua's.

 

That version of Whyte was awful. Even a green Dubois would've sparked him out
