Rewatched Roldan Vs Kinchen the other day and the commentators were saying some stuff about him having a good, prolific career in the amateurs, which I had not heard before (I must've had the audio turned off for that fight previously). Anybody know any details about it?
He boxed as an amateur for about six years and won a string of regional titles but never really rose above that level. He had some trouble settling on a weight division, boxing at light heavyweight and then heavyweight before trimming back down to middleweight.
