I'd like to inform you Baer was a crude slugger, the exact opposite of a prime Ali,he had neither his boxing skills ,reflexes, agility ,or mobility.
Baer was embarrassed and humiliated by punchless light heavyweight Tommy Loughran, and out boxed by moderate Jim Braddock.
Louis had effective footwork ,his feet were planted to generate power show us examples of him, up on his toes, working his way in behind a jab,you can't.
Against the most agile heavyweight ever, with the fastest feet he would look pedestrian.

Also the other post your quoting is me quoting @he grant so take it up with him and learn how to use the internet.

Its funny you should mention Mendoza,[who was banned from ******* this week,] as you adopt exactly the same tactics he did when he was called out.lol
H.E. makes you look like a fool , he is a quality poster.
You made two statements and when I called you on them your ******* fell out,I thought you a harmless but limited poster, now I realise you are also a coward.
You've had your ass handed to you on your own thread and you didn't even have the nuts to defend your earlier BS.Pathetic.

    Oh the irony

You're the most pathetic thing on this forum

mcvey has given you a solid dose of exactly what you've been chasing, and deserve. Don't get up on your high horse now just because he's smashed you and your shenanigans at every turn.

    You couldn't carry his jock.

Frazier said his boxing style was based on Henry Armstrong for what it's worth. I'm not sure if that was by the tutiledge of Futch or others in his gym circle growing up.

Also when it comes to FOTC people disregard the first half of the fight, while Frazier did damage he was getting absolutely pummelled on the way in. Frazier won fair and square but it was a hell of a war that damaged both men

The more people post here, the less I’m convinced they actually watch the fights they discuss rather than repeating cliches.

I'm reluctant to get in this thread other than to say Joe Louis was a counterpuncher and Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, and Oscar Bonavena are poor analogues.

Against Folley he wasn't throwing for whatever reasons till the stoppage possibly clowning around a bit. I think the Terrell and Chuvalo 1 performances are as sharp as you would see Ali though.

People could go back and forth with reasoing such as that though. It's just like saying that if Ali was outboxing Louis like Billy Conn was, then Muhammad would n't get caught like Billy was.

With both men at their best and fully focued I see Muhammad outboxing Joe over the distance because of the former's adaptability, speed and tough jaw. I understand why others would pick Joe as these two are the number one asnd two heavyweights of all time.

Frazier got quite upset when he was compared to Marciano, like you've said, he saw himself as a bigger version of Armstrong, and I would agree with him.

Against Chuvalo Ali stopped still at one point ,held Chuvalo's head and allowed the Canadian to belt him in the body several times.
The idea that Louis' body attack will beat him or even be a deciding factor is not supported by the punishment he took to the body from others and still came back to win.

Anyone think Louis hit harder to the body than Foreman?
I've absolutely no problem with folks saying Louis beats Ali ,but some of the half baked, ill thought out reasons why he would, are really bordering on the absurd.
