For some context on Wlad's power he has stopped 19 guys who have never been stopped before and this is a era were the average heavyweight was 230+ pounds.

I think it would be a while before we see someone repeat something like that again.

Wladimir Klitschko definitely hit with more power than Primo Carnera, but possibly not by as much as some think ... in my opinion.

Wlad, but the real question is who was the better all-around fighter

And if Carnera got to em.... He would've stopped all of them, IN THE FIRST ROUND!

Wlad is an incredible anomaly, a Schrodinger's heavyweight, simultaneously over and underestimated, but one thing he had was prodigious fight ending power. If Vitali had Wlad's power, he might be GOAT. If Wlad had Vitali's chin and engine, he might be GOAT. I look back with huge fondness on both and can remember the night Vitali exploded onto the scene sparking Herbie Hide. He was, and remains, a bad man. Wlad was a slightly more educated, slightly more reticent bad man.

With Vitali I think it's more he was too injury prone.

Color me confused, but ... is Carnera Legit?

Correct me if I am wrong, but my impression was that Carnera was a mafia managed overhyped tomato can, but this thread is like he was an ATG puncher comparable to Wlad.

Carnera had friends in the Mafia, but Wlad is a multimillionaire who is related to the mayor of Kiev. I'd say Wlad has more power.

Look at his resume. He was legit. He was on another level from the other SHWs of his day like Santa. He might be the weak link of the 30s lineal champs but all those guys are ATG tier.

I don't mean political or mafia power, but physical...

This, I wouldn’t be surprised if Primo would be a harder puncher had they had the same boxing coach. Surely gigantism adds some more pop compared to a regular giant like Wlad

Weight and strength mean a lot. I don't know how accurate it is, but Eddie Hall (Strong Man competitor) broke the record on the UFC punching machine. Hall is far ahead of Ngannou's old record. At the time Ngannou fought Fury he had the record. Of course the fighter has to be able to land his punch or it doesn't matter how powerful it is.

    Eddie Hall: 208,901

    Alex Pereira: 191,796

    Francis Ngannou: 129,161

In that case, Carnera lived in the era of early electrification. It's possible that his home wasn't even hooked up to the grid. Klitschko, on the other hand, would've lived in a home -- or multiple homes -- with electrical wiring throughout. So I have no hesitation in concluding that Klitschko's power supply exceeded what Carnera might have had.

Yeah that's a pretty nice stat.

A handful more clean punches and Wach/Povetkin/AJ just about escaped being on this list.
