Sometimes being inactive and old is better than being shot. I'm talking about the Joshua who just got KO'd by Dubois. He’s at a turning point in his career. He’s done. He’s currently ranked 6th, but he’s probably effectively out of the top 15. Andy Ruiz is 21st. I say AJ is top 15 at best now, on the decline, after being brutally KO'd. If we agree that Ibeabuchi has a chance at winning a top 20 before the age of 55, there you have it. If that means anything, Ibeabuchi himself thinks beating AJ would be a piece of cake. Lol.
I must admit that Joshua is a mental weakling with a glass chin, but Ibeabuchi is too old, Joshua overcomes him with some caution within six rounds...
The only close fight Joshua had at the 2011 Worlds was against Cammarelle and then in the final against Majidov which he lost, and he could've made the argument he won - it was an excellent close fight. He won 3 of those fights at the Worlds by stoppage. Yeah, you could make the case Cammarelle was robbed at London 2012, and the Worlds in 2011, but surely you don't think someone can just walk into a boxing gym and compete at the Worlds within 18 months if they have zero talent?
Ageism and name-calling for giving Ibeabuchi a chance to win... Real trolls have shown their colors. Looking like an Olympic star during a sparring session doesn’t guarantee success. Bum Joshua is a prime example of that. On the other hand, some great fighters look pretty bad in sparring. Take Ali in 1965 This content is protected Ibeabuchi can’t be judged by sparring or bag work alone. What we know for sure is that he’s fit, he’s got power, and at 52 years old, he’s certainly more dangerous than a late career Ali with signs of Parkinson’s.
Joshua represents an opportunity because he is overrated, has a glass chin, and for some reason, he makes dumb decisions that nullify his skills. Being a sparring star means nothing. You need spirit, stamina, and a good chin, and you need to level up your game when it counts the most. I would trust Ibeabuchi for that. He feels like he's 28 years old. He is undefeated. He looks badass, and the sparring shown on YouTube looks like tune-up training. The sky's the limit! I think he could score an opportunistic KO against some top 50 heavyweights, with Joshua ranked 6th being the highest on the list
