Simply premise, I'd go with Lennox Lewis or Joe Louis. Old Foreman is an honorable mention but his jab was so strong that he pushed opponents out of the range of his straight. What do you guys think?
Some good picks here. Ali and Holmes had respectable power in it but not the switch your lights out power like Wlad and Lewis say.
This. Especially in his prime. The 1-2 he knocked down Byrd with in the 2nd fight was like a laser guided missile.
Surprised to see Wlad mentioned and not Vitali. Vitali a didn’t pick the KO power Wlads did, but it was excellent, he landed it often seemingly on just about anyone he fought and found a variety of angles to throw it from.
I was thinking Vitali was well. Vitali was very good at throwing it while moving backwards. My thing is with Vitali is he was more of a arm puncher so it didn't have the same snap as Wladimir's.
Yeah when Wach was at his peak… his chin was up there with Tex Cobb’s. Maybe better not sure. Remember he took some nasty flush shots from peak Povetkin as well. But that Wlad barrage, especially in that 8th round. This content is protected 98% of heavyweights would’ve wilted.
