Here we cite boxers destroyed mentally by one defeat.

For example I'm thinking of Hiroto Kyoguchi after Kenshiro Teraji, Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr, Kosei Tanaka after his defeat with Kazuto Ioka was almost blind of his right eyes and stopped his career very soon mentally he was never the same after that fight too, almost all the opponents of Naoya Inoue : Emmanuel Rodriguez, Michael Dasmarinas, Aran Dipaen, Juan Carlos Payano, Samartlek Kokietgym, Yoann Boyeaux, Paul Butler... , Takuma Inoue probably with Seiya Tsutsumi, David Price after Christian Hammer was very affected probably his worst defeat also....

Do you have any others names ?

George Foreman's ego and aura were crushed by his loss to Ali and he was never the same during his first career.

Jeff Lacey after Calzaghe's best ever performance. His team should have pulled him out in round 10 IMO, never the same after that, even if he was initially overrated it's really hard to say by how much!

Jeff Fenech, though a good chunk of his resolve was taken away when he was robbed against Azumah the first time around.

Kovalev never had a legit loss to Ward. Ridiculous weight cut ruined Dawson.

Clearly won the first and was “stopped” with low blows in the second. Ward was the one who retired after it, not Kovalev.
