Most of Press Row Had Margarito Beating Williams

Get over it dude. Margarito lost the fight. Include the commentors and Herald Letterman as Media who thought Williams won.:hi:

That's an indication how close the fight is . . . and I have no problem that Willaims won officially . . . all he needs to do is SHUT the **** up and wait for the rematch to be negotiated and documents signed.

I scored the fight 7-5 in favor of Williams but can defitnaly see if some scored it 8-4 in favor of Williams, there are many way to score a fight but each round circumstances should determine how you score for example in the fight with Williams and Margarito, I dont remember what rounds I gave who exactly but I do remember giving Williams at least 5 of the first 6 rounds and my reason for that is this, Williams was pumping his jab and throwing 1-2 combinations and when Williams was doing that Margarito felt content just to shell up and play defense which is very unlike him, and though the punches were'nt landing Williams was more active and Margo was'nt and yes your right we can't really determine if Williams punches were landing or not but if your a judge you have to assume in way that they are because he has the higher workrate.

As for the rounds that I scored for Margo the reason I scored them for him is because he finally started to let his hands go and was clearly landing on Williams so in that case you score the round for Margo based off of clean effective punching, you just can't have one criteria for scoring a fight because you would ignore so many other intangibles and circumstances within the fight that eventually one can develop a bias without realizing it for instance if a judge criteria and only criteria for judging a fight was clean effective punching that judge might score a round for the fighter who's the bigger puncher or known puncher just because he knows that he is, so in a sense you have to go along with the flow of a fight.

 

Blocking punches with your face dont count as blocked punches.

I scored the fight 7-5 Williams myself as well. He built a comfortable lead in the beginning and won the fight. Margo was starting to come on at the end but couldn't come through.

 

Williams was the better man, just watch the fight for yourself, and figure it out you dont need a press row to know that ****

 

If you win three rounds in a row, that does not mean you did not lose the 5 before that. You guys are seriously dumb ass dick riders. You score fights by rounds...Williams was banking rounds....Margarito did not do **** or land anything until around the 6th. He could not even get past Williams jab until he sold out and went all out. Williams weathered the storm and Margarito gased out and got treated like a pinyata in round 12.

And no, it isn't just one criteria. But this is it, primarily. It's not even so much about big shots - it's scoring shots, first and foremost - although you do adjust and factor everything on a realistic, and sensible level. Of course. Most of what dominating the scoring entails naturally encompasses ring generalship, effective agressiveness, ect. As I said - common sense.

 

LOL, now that is what it all comes down to. The judges. Period.

But the debating aspect is the whole point for us forum types. It all works out in the end.

 

Margorito lost that fight pretty clearly.

I'd pick Margorito in the rematch though, he looked awfully off in that fight.

In reality, definately not. Margarito lost, 115-113, 115-113, and 116-112.

 

I had williams winning the fight.

 

honestly, you can't give Margarito more than 5 rounds. Impossible if you know how to judge a fight. It was an easy fight to score.
