This is how i scored it. Ken Norton vs Muhammad Ali 2 1 Ali 2 Ali 3 Ali 4 Ali 5 Norton 6 Ali 7 Norton 8 Norton 9 Ali 10 Norton 11 Norton 12 Ali 115-113 Ali Ali looked alot better in this fight faster, fitter, and being able to use his famous footwork for all 12 rounds. Aswell as hurting and rocking Norton a few times something he didn't do at all in the first meeting. Ali just won too many of the early rounds with his footwork and jab, and he closed the show with a good 12th round. I don't see any controversy here it was a good competitive fight but a fight Ali closely but clearly won. I could see an argument for Norton maybe earning a draw, but anymore than that would be reaching in my opinion.
Seems I need to do a re-watch, see if my memory of the fight from the last time I watched it (probably a couple years ago) is off.
I think Ali won the series 2-1. I scored 3 with a friend and I had it 8-7 while he had it 8-7 Norton. Not a blatant robbery like people make out
I had 3rd fight 8-7 for Norton but yeah it's definitely close enough to be debatable certainly not the robbery it's portrayed to be.
It has literally been decades since I last watched but I remember thinking that I had seen worse decisions. That was back in the days of VCRs so it was harder to do a good punch count, what with the stopping and rewinding and all that.
But Usyks dont lol. Lets stick to heavyweight here.... are you challenging me to take apart his best wins ? Both have wins that will reveal crinkles under a lense, but Holyfields opposition generally ranks higher.
Holy's entire HW career was probably fueled by PEDs, so there's that. His best win is Tyson 1. Usyk's win over Fury was, IMO, a better win. I have not yet placed Usyk in my all-time list as he is still a work in progress,
Not after the Ngannou fight, and how many ranked fighters did Fury beat in the last 9 years ? Yeah no. Tyson over Fury no pun intended. Better resume and better achievements, Usyk has no losses but hasn't beat half the number of top guys Holyfield has
