Charley Burley anyone? Also, did Eder Jofre ever throw a single uppercut to the body? If so I'll rewatch and see how he does it.
Roman Chocolatito Gonzalez. Used it as part of his sublime combinations regularly and even countered the jab with the uppercut to the body pretty frequently.
The guy had some really nice moves. He's a member of the modern forgotten, for the most part, I call it. Not a great but a pretty cool, unusual gem of interest. Had a base, some star power, a well-built record, some charisma, pulled some slick and deadly stuff on the TV. As soon as he lost...easy for the greater boxing public to start forgetting what was good in the first place.
Anytime a subject like this pops up, my very 1st thought is Arguello evicerating Ganigan with a body combo that left him withering on the canvas like a hot spear had been run thru his midsection. So my very 1st pick would be Arguello. Followed by McCallum, Pedroza, Duran, Gavilan, and one not mentioned yet, but had viscous uppercuts to the body. Ray Leonard.....
