I think Schofield stops Shakur at this stage. Thoughts?

Shakur UD. Tevin isn’t a guy in his prime years.

I agree. Difficult to claim Schofield beats Shakur based off the Framer win. But, Schofield does look good and has a more crowd pleasing style than Shakur. This fight should happen next, if Shakur gets passed Zapeda. But, per usual, the boxing geniuses that we call match makers will want the fight to marinate before it happens. They win meet in the summer of 2030.

Don't be a prisoner of the moment. Schofield beat Tevin Farmer..... a man who is far passed his prime years. And as Shakur pointed out, he approached round one irresponsibly vs a young talent.

After the first and definitely the second knockdown, Farmer should have taken time to get his feet back under him rather than trying to prove he wasn't hurt by jumping back into exchanges with a young gun who had the momentum from first round success.

Interesting matchup, I hope it happens - but Stevenson has a history of avoiding talented boxers his own size, so I doubt it.

There's nothing to marinate just yet. Floyd beat a guy who was ranked #9 by the WBC.....The title that Shakur is currently holding. And Floyd himself isn't even ranked yet.. He's not in position to challenge Shakur unless Shakur comes after him. Floyd's quickest round for a title is through Tank Davis via the WBA where he is ranked #2..... Success there would be the way to get Schofield a shot at Shakur and opportunity to become a unified champ

Is this something you can point to on a timeline that actually happened or are you saying "he has a history" of something just based off your own disliking of him?........

Last I checked he's went through 3 divisions and has always called out the champions in those divisions. Politics play it's part in some fights not being made in the time frame these fighters are asking, but we are quick to suggest that a specific fighter avoids another fighter, when they all went through the same grind just to get to where they are.

He never fought the real "champions" in any division, he looked for the most limited, smallest and weakest belt holders.

He won't fight dangerous opponents like Schofield or G Davis. His promoter Hearn would love to make those fights, but Stevenson prefers to fight the more basic, limited guys who he can run from.

Schofield from what I've seen looks more talented than Stevenson, he's more of a real fighter than just a runner.

Depends on how Shakur looks in the Zepeda fight. Schofield hasn’t been tested enough to be fully convinced of his chances against Shakur. Although it was impressive how he quickly he dispatched Farmer I’d like to see him against against someone closer to his age and less battle torn. Would like to see him against Muratalla first.

Shakur has been calling out Tank at every possible opportunity. Literally any time Shakur has had a microphone around him in the last year or so, he has mentioned Tank's name and how much he wants to fight him. He even called out Lomachenko for a solid year but Loma chose the Kambosos fight instead. Shakur was scheduled to fight Schofield but Kid Austin was forced to pull out because of illness. Shakur was scheduled to fight Joe Cordina but that fight fell through too, another dangerous, big fighter in his prime. Herring, Valdez, and Conceiçāo were the top 3 guys at 130 apart from Shakur and Shakur beat them all easily. De Los Santos was the dark-horse at 135, a massive puncher with incredible skills and Shakur beat him with a messed up hand. Shakur has beaten plenty of dangerous fighters and has shown repeated willingness to unify.

Schofield vs Abdullah Mason? Who do y'all think wins? Before last night I would've said Mason but now I think I'm changing my prediction.

Why are people saying Stevenson won't fight Schofield, when they were already scheduled to fight and Schofield pulled out?

It was an impressive stoppage from schofield but I still think Shakur beats him in a competitive fight.

Does anyone know if there was any more info on schofield-stevenson falling through? Some poisonous lotion smeared on schofield? Have no idea what to think about that. Who would invent such a thing? But then again who would do it...

Schofield looks amazing. In slow motion the punch that brought the first knockdown is speeding up in a way that's unreal. Hope we get the good matchups that become possible with mason, stevenson, schofield. I have no problem with stevenson fighting off the back foot when facing murderous und speedy punchers with good technique.

Stevenson is still a tough ask to beat for anyone and schofield is very young with little experience. But he could become really good

Sorry you lost me on him not fighting "real champions" nonsense. Your argument would make more sense to me if he wasn't gunning for Tank Davis, Loma, and Pitbull Cruz. Disrespecting guys like Valdez, Conceicao, Herring, etc as if they were throw away opponents or cherry picks makes me not value your opinion on the matter all together. Claiming Shakur only picks opponents he can run from yet he's about to fight one of the most high value punchers in the division in Zepeda.

And then there's the obvious part of the fact that it was Kid Austin who pulled out of the fight vs Stevenson and the things he and his camp claim were the reasons are hardly solid and as of recently, they are refusing to discuss the reason for the departure.

And even if your "real champions" comment was factual, explain to me how Schofield's one big win over Farmer is more validating than any of those non "real" champions that Shakur has faced........ Then again, based on you original response, I'm not sure I want you to explain it anymore.
