Let's not forget Pitbull Cruz openly declined to fight Shakur after being called out.

Schofield did what he was supposed to do, an impressive stoppage in round one.

Stevenson would have run and pitty-patted during the fight for a boring decision win.

Shakur already signed to fight Schofield and Schofield pulled out.

Still a more impressive fighter than Stevenson.

Now that he’s coming into his prime and has shown to be dangerous, Stevenson will avoid him.

Isn’t Farmer like 33? And coming off close fights against Zepeda and Murtaliev? It’s arguable that Tevin was at his peak.

Farmer's 35. By the time Schofield got to Farmer he already had his prime beaten out of him from those three tough back to back losses to Muratalla and Zepeda.

An illness. Wasn’t specified. His dad posted a pic of him in a hospital bed.

It's an interesting fight even more so as of now. That being said, nobody from 140 and below is beating Stevenson, they're all ducking him for a reason.

He's not 35 lol, if you're going to correct me at least get his age right. He's 34. Beaten out of him? Farmer gave a terrific account of himself and didn't even take that much damage. Schofield is just a bad style for him and Tevin also was never elite elite. The Tevin who lost to Jojo Diaz all those years ago would lose close fights to Zepeda still.

He's 34 hitting 35 next month. Either way he's already past his peak and damaged goods by the time Schofield got to him. Farmer held his own well against Muratalla and Zepeda but still took punishment, especially from Zepeda.

So you think the Farmer who fought Zepeda would beat Schofield? LOL

I didn't say that at all lol.
Schofield is talented and probably beats up any version of Farmer but I'm still not convinced that he's he's ready for someone like Shakur yet.

Stevenson would have 'done what he was supposed to do' which is win the fight in the style he has. I'm not one of those guys who feel defensive fighters are boring. I actually laugh at the lack of knowledge of what's going on in the ring by some fans when they continue to suggest that defensive fighters are 'Running' because they make sure they can get out of the way of damaging punches and they don't attempt to exchange with dangerous strikers.

Stevenson is highly skilled and frustrates opponents who are limited in their movement/footwork. People want to claim they are a fan of the 'Sweet Science' but claim those who master it to be runners. Why should a fight stand there and get hit with something damaging that they have the ability to avoid while also getting their shot in? This isn't Hollywood. He's not Rocky Balboa. And this isn't a Rock'em Sock'em toy.... Hit and not get hit is a great skill and when someone is able to master it, it's poetry in my eyes.

On the flip side, I'm not the biggest fan of someone who simply puts their head down and walks into punches in order to get theirs off. For example I was more of a fan of how Shawn Porter fought Crawford then how he fought Spence. Understanding distance, setting up combinations, getting in and out, footwork, etc.....That was more attractive to me than him simply wrestling inside and throwing blind overhand punches.

Big ups to Kid Austin on his win, but it was against a far passed his prime Farmer. Maybe this win can give him the confidence to actually fight Shakur Stevenson and stop with the outlandish conspiracy nonsense suggesting Shakur hired someone to put poisonous lotion on him or whatever the story was......lol
