I dont get why some posters assume Vitali has a better chance than Wlad.

Vitale is not skilled or slick enough to duck Foreman indefinitively, and he lacks the granite chin required to stand to him.

IMO Vitali is pasted by Foreman easily.

On the other side Wlad has a decent chance to win using his physical advantage to keep Foreman at distance and ultimately clinching and holding his way to a decission.

Because Vitali has a granite chin and hard to hit especially by smaller men. Foreman at his best was a 3-4 round fighter not really a good combo against someone like Vitali

We can get into a leghty discussion on what defines a "granite chin".

But for the sake of clarification IMO Vitale had an impressive chin, but is it good enough to stand to Foreman?

I need more evidence than the fight with Lewis.

Wlad’s usual tactics wouldn’t work that well on Foreman. He was too willing to back up when somebody pressured him, and Foreman didn’t rest in the clinch, he kept pushing against his opponent and throwing body shots. Vitali would actually stand his ground and keep Foreman back with his reach without giving any ground. He had noticeably superior cardio than both and his chin would hold up just fine. Wlad is overall better than Vitali though.

When thinking about Foreman and his punches I have to say it is like my grandpappy told me growing up in Colorado. "If you think you know what a bear will do next, then you know more than the bear." Foreman would be the bear in the ring. The ring would be the ring. The Klitschkos would be the opponents and the referee would be the judge. The judges would be the NPC's and the audience would be the willing recipients of the sperm donation. That is my analysis. Good bye to the forum forever. The Professor will now delete my account.

His chin is somewhat untested because he didn't get hit enough but yeah at the least his chin was very good based on those bombs against Lewis he was literally leaning straight into that uppercut and taking a hammering beforehand which would have decapitated almost all top fighters.

Lewis landed loads of uppcercuts on guys and they didn't go anywhere. Željko Mavrović took them all night , wasn't decapitated.

"Glass chin" Morrison took one of the best uppercuts ever thrown by Lewis. He went to his knees but was back up straight away.

Holyfield took them for 24 rounds , never went down.

The height of Vitali meant the punch had to travel further , meaning the impact was not as hard as the uppercut landed on guys like Tua and Tyson.
Agree he took a hammering tho.

The chin's of some those other opponents are known especially Holyfield agree. I would certainly say Holyfield had a iron chin.

I wasn't saying Vitali had a better chin than all those fighters but it's clear to me he has a world class chin.

Based off one fight in which he was holding on a lot and buckled off a jab. Sanders changed his whole style with one clean punch

If it makes you feel better you could just say he had a bad chin then.....

Why would stating a non-truth make me feel better? I deal in truths and facts. My view is he wouldn't be easy to put away. Very good chin but the fact remains it was largely untested over a long career. .

I don’t think some of these posters actually watched Vitali’s fights claiming he “Isn’t skilled and doesn’t have a granite chin”:lol: A guy that ate probably the hardest uppercut lewis ever landed and kept fighting and also kept on his feet after a perfectly timed counter left by Sanders HAS A DAMN GRANITE CHIN. Lol

But people are going on about Wlad getting “Blasted out in two by Foreman” Foreman didn’t have the freakish hand speed like Sanders to blitz him and what happens when Foreman gets cracked with that Wlad 1-2 or lead left?? Mercer, prime Pulev and Chambers had very solid chins as well.

Foreman wasn’t ever exactly hard to hit. I got Wladimir by stoppage before 8. Vitali gets a UD over Foreman

We agree then. I never go saying it was the strongest chin ever for that reason but just that it was elite.

    2-0

The K brothers are getting to be like Marciano here in that people would pick them mano y mano against Godzilla, if not Thanos or literally the damn Hiroshima bomb.
