Shamar Leon Canal vs. Bryan Ernesto Jiménez Paniagua RBR

Ukrainian unbeaten super welterweight Taras Shelestyuk fought on the undercard btw, but I can't find a result. Not up on BoxRec and there isn't a single tweet about it. (or about this main event, for that matter)

I'm guessing the BLK Prime internet PPV with English commentary got less than a hundred buys. Pathetic card to attempt to charge for - even if just $7.

 

Both tired in R8 - one man from punching, the other from wrestling.

 

Canal might be hurt!

 

Their listed heights are 100% wrong.

BoxRec has Canal at 5'6" and Jiménez at 5'8". That is impossible. Canal is at least four inches taller with an even more pronounced edge in wingspan.

So if Canal's is correct, then Jiménez is nearly a midget...and if Jiménez's is correct, Canal must be six foot.

 

I would hope that Shelestyuk didn't struggle to dispatch the 42 year old Roddricus Livsey, who is 12-4-1 and coming off two stoppage losses...but then, Shelly is coming off a 3½ year layoff since his draw with Gabriel Maestre in March of 2022 so who knows.

 

Flash knockdown for Canal in the 9th. Jiménez ran into an uppercut.

 

Jiménez ripped Canal with some right hooks while up on his toes in pursuit. Canal fleeing into the ropes and jabbing as pretext to clinch and lean down on Jiménez. Canal in survival mode. Jiménez swinging the left hand like a wrecking ball into the midsection of Canal.

I doubt Bryan gets the nod here, though. I could hear the BLK Prime commentators in the background in English basically grooming the audience for the inevitable wide Canal scorecards.

People in the FB live are snitching on Alvarado's daughter, commenting that she is drinking chocolate milk behind his back and doing backflips on the bed.

He read it, turned, and chuckled.

Canal is promoted and managed by (and is sometimes tabbed as sparring partner for) Devin Haney so don't be surprised if he benefits from a few more gifts before getting exposed.
