Catterall needs banning from TV. Awful to watch and very dirty too. Always sticking his head in or grappling people to the ground.

Parsons is an absolute melt. Can’t believe how far Matchroom have fallen with them having that little tool doing interviews.

After last night, perhaps a 3 and 2 seater facing a back garden is enough.

 

Well it was what the majority of us expected, a snoozefest.

Catterall is like an even more boring version of Rigondeaux ( if that's possible).

 

Promoters, tv executives and particularly commentators need to understand that boxing needs to entertain as there are many many alternative ways for people to spend their money. No more ‘ it’s a chess match ‘ no more ‘ it’s one for the purest’ and no more ‘ it’s good to get 12 rounds under his belt.’ If Smith (?) Barker (?) and Edwards (?) are there to attract a younger audience than Costello did, they need to call a stinker a stinker and keep the guilty from our screens. Even Turki knows this and he’s been in boxing 5 minutes and doesn’t watch the fights anyway.

 

Only watched the highlights as I was at a wedding but some of Smith’s commentary, deary me. ‘They absolutely love the ever so popular Catterall here!’ as if he was Hatton. Was about 3k in there.

Harlem has shown he is world class is a good one as well.

 

Spot on. He spouts more propaganda than Joseph Goebbels did in the 1930s. Hasn’t he got a mind of his own. Though, he’s not stupid, he’s gone from binned by Sky to the only regular boxing commentator in Britain. He’s an arselicker with no credibility or self respect but he’s no.1 in his field in the UK. The weasel. ( I do hate him telling the viewers that we are watching Hagler Hearns when we are watching the equivalent of a Johnny Nelson Championship defence. It’s incredibly insulting to his audience. If you are watching Catterall Eubank on DAZN you’re a pretty hardcore fan. You know what you’re watching)

 

Fights like that one are bad for the sport, the ‘one for the purists’ narrative is nonsense. We watch to be entertained, this isn’t fencing. Hopefully king Turki has both these man on a ban list.

 

According to Ready to Fight data, despite similar accuracy, Catterall out-worked Eubank, throwing 153 punches and landing 19 (12 %). Eubank threw 93 punches, landing 10 (11 %).

Catterall connected with 9 jabs from 98 thrown (9 %), while Eubank landed 7 of 59 (12 %).

Catterall’s power-punch tally was 10 landed of 55 thrown (18 %); Eubank’s was 3 of 34 (9 %).

Jack scored 18 headshots and 1 to the body. Harlem landed 10 headshots and none to the torso.

 

I can't believe Eubank landed that many - every 2nd movement was backwards and wave... terrible performance.

Neither should ever, I mean EVER head up a card again. Both are absolutely awful. Catteral living off the Taylor loss, he is terrible. Eubank is terrible as well. Eubank is European level at the very most, and that is pushing it. Let's be honest, without that surname, he would be in no-man's land.

 

To be fair Harlem has a point here with his comments on Matchroom's jobs for the boys culture and Conor Benn being allowed into his dressing room.
