He was actually on his feet when when the ref stopped it versus McCall

No, even though I feel Lewis had a better chin, his legs were gone when he got up vs McCall.

No worse than Joshuas vs Ruiz and Dubois, plus Joshua was given more time to recover.

Let’s not kid ourselves. Lennox Lewis fought longer, against harder hitters, in a nastier era, and took their best shots. Joshua? He’s been on the floor more times than a nightclub bouncer. If you’re looking for a real chin, it’s Lennox all day—Joshua’s is still waiting for delivery.

The McCall KO, ref barely gave him a chance

Now?? No. You’re right. AJ couldn’t!

But AJ took (Well.. got up from anyway) a right hand from Wlad that was harder than the right hand Rahman took out Lewis with in South Africa. So… prime AJ’s chin isn’t anyway worse than Lennox’s imo.

People always say this, but let’s be honest… Lewis practically fell into the ref after getting up from Oliver’s haymaker. I’d say 90% of refs are calling a halt to the fight if a fighter falls forward into them.

That's true. Flatlined was too strong a word. I do agree that the ref could have let him go on and be ready to jump in and stop it immediately.

Huh?? Joshua tried his damndest to finish 41 year old Wlad in that 5th but spent himself throwing hooks with everything he had and Wlad eventually countered him with a straight right that frankly surprised me that Joshua took! It was perfect timed but probably lacked a lot of steam due to the fact Wlad was still hurt himself. THAT’S what prevented Joshua from the finish. Not Anthony “Playing it safe”:lol: That 5th round was actually a great round. Terrific turnaround by Wlad. Right up there with his 6th round in the first Peter fight.

Actually he was more gone than AJ was vs Ruiz, he couldn`t carry on but AJ was in a worse state vs Dubois.

Both were Glass Jawed Fighters. People forget Lennox was the originator of the Jab and Grab after the McCall knockout. He used it way before Wlad did.

It is near impossible to give a definitive answer, boxers now are genuinely bigger and stronger and fitter now due to science evolution etc so you can argue AJ better chin taking stronger punches

but on the other hand there was less padding on gloves boxing was dirtier more fights and more punches thrown when Lewis was fighting.

if you could put both of them in the same era with same conditions etc I think Lewis would prove to have the best chin
