Ali let Foreman fight the dumbest fight in heavyweight and had the fortitude to outlast him. Out muscled, a joke.

Literally from the first bell Ali is the man and controlling the real estate. Get a set of eyeballs.

An old man tired out the young buck because he was RING STRONG!

Nah he wasn't green, the only green was in Ali's eyes when he saw the payday. There are probably dozens of other examples where fighters with a similar amount of experience as Foreman were absolute phenoms. Just look at a guy like Dwight Muhammad Qawi.

Would you say Mike Tyson was green going into the Spinks fight ? He had boxed about the same amount of rounds as Foreman did by the time he got to Ali, and a good deal of the bouts that went the distance were just because the other guy was running, not really much of an opportunite for Tyson to learn, right ? And while Peralta is meh, Tillis ain't all that better. But Tyson obviously wasn't green, right ? It's not a matter of experience at that point in a fighter's career, just plain ability.

Foreman also didn't really look all that much better in his post Ali comeback. His relationship with Clancy was hit and miss if I recall correctly, and he improved his skills and stamina so much by the time of the Young fight that he found Jesus.

So really, you might as well be better off just saying that Foreman sucked.

“I had hit this guy with every shot I had to knock him out, he had not lost any ground. As a matter of fact, he was a little stronger.
On the other hand I had not punished him and knocked him out like I thought - I had got a little weaker."

I don’t think you understand and are respectfully missing a few pieces here to do so.

He's saying he grew weaker and weaker as the fight progressed due to the muggy heat and punching himself out while Ali had lots of energy left in the tank. Not that Ali was outright physically stronger than him in the literal sense.

FWIW and if it hasn’t been mentioned already, in his relating of the fight, Ali described Foreman as having thrown him (Ali) into the ropes like a rag doll at one point.

My eyeballs work fine. Ali didn’t physically manhandle Foreman one bit. He negated George through some (illegal) clinching, out boxed him and out lasted George who paced himself very poorly in humid conditions. A great effort and it’s one of the reasons why Ali is the best.

A 32 year old tired out a 24 year old because he fought smarter and was better. Not because he was stronger. He wasn’t, not even close.

lol it bothers people if GF can’t hit the hardest, can’t be the strongest or have one the best chins… it basically means George wasn’t special if he isn’t secretly as strong and durable as a 260lbs, weightlifting, PED eating modern HW - everybody has to pretend a skinny armed wee heavyweight would overpower guys like Takam in the clinches that he hits harder then Wladmir… that he had a chin like McCall, Vitali or Ortiz etc physically he was so-so… a small boxer boxes, Foreman was not a boxer he gets swept away by the big men of the modern era, Usyk fights like a little guy and he’s 220lbs 6ft3.

He did no such thing. He sat on the ropes and let the stronger man punch himself out. Hence it was called the “rope a dope.”

Had Ali “controlled” the real estate and fought Foreman from the centre of the ring it’s an entirely different fight.

Ali did not manhandle Foreman. That is a fallacy. He outsmarted him but he didn’t out-muscle him in any way whatsoever.

Frazier being washed up is a load of anti Foreman BS,he proved against Quarry and later Ali he wasn't.
