Instead of Maxim, let's say he fought Charles at light heavyweight (let's pretend Charles was LHW champion). Could Robinson do as good or even better than he did with Maxim?

I think Ezzard had too much pop for SRR. He was more capable of hurting SRR than Maxim was.

I mean, Charles beat Maxim five times, so...

Ray would be fighting the future Heavyweight Champion whilst being himself an overblown Welterweight, he would also be fighting the demise who bested his own demise five times across multiple weight classes

He's fighting a taller, heavier, equally as savvy IF NOT more savvier, equally as skilled IF NOT more skilled, and on top of all that, in his prime weight class where he is recognized as the Goat

It is unfair, Ray gets stopped by Charles in an off night, keep busy, 4 rounder bout

I’d say Charles probably stops him, but if Robinson goes into survival mode completely, he could last the distance, but I’d bet the size of Charles takes its toll, and it’s not like he’s slow or predictable, and Robinson could stay away, ride them and see it coming, Charles was explosive, unpredictable, could punch from any angle and with any punch and could put them together very fast.

These are two of the top 5 GOATs for me .. its like Walker v Greb .. a dream match up between two boxing demi gods.. but Ray was no LHW .. he maxed out at 175.. whereas Charles thrived there & is arguably the greatest LHW ever .. no way i could favour Robinson here

Oh dear God… poor Ray, that’s the 147lbs GOAT vs the 175lbs GOAT - Charles might even be the more skilled fighter… that’s F’d up man. Charles went 15 with Marciano and KO’d HW’s he can hurt Ray and I don’t think Ray can hurt him.

Robinson was not even a big middle. He weighed 157 for Maxim.

I don't think Ray finishes on his feet. Charles by KO.

Charles. Too much of a size advantage and the talent/skill advantage for Ray isn’t enough.

SRR was the greatest P4p fighter ever. Charles wasn’t that far behind.

Charles too big for Robinson. Ezzard by stoppage before the championship rounds.

What’s wild here is…. If they were the same size you’d still have a hard time deciding the winner, Charles is monstrous like that.
