Nice impressive feat but it's not what's is most important

Mark Breeland also had a great amateur career

Tony Yoka and Audley Harrison won the Olympic Gold Medal too

    It's about the pros

He also got robbed in a card vs oscar despite landing nearly double the punches
Also was robbed on a card vs Canelo despite schooling him

went to Gatti's hometown and put on a career best performance and smashed him to pieces. His compubox numbers are lightyears ahead of all these other so called amateur God's and that is with fighting much greater competition also lol

The Canelo card was the worst

I don't think that judge ever worked in boxing again

If Shakur who is bigger than Loma can turn pro at 19 and become a three weight world champion by 26, beating Joet Gonzalez, Herring, and De Los Santos, all in his own country in divisions he was big for, after losing 13 amateur fights despite only having just over 1/3 of the amount of fights Loma did who fought at the higher level for much longer and won over 400 amateur fights losing only once, that means one loss since he was a little boy until he turned pro at almost 26, then why couldn't Loma become a three weight clamp at lower weights if he turned pro at the same age?

I've already explained to you in depth why a fighter of his vast talents and other worldly skill level so obviously would you're just being deliberately obtuse.

Do you think his style would not translate to the pros? We know for a fact it did and that his skills did too, so much so he had the best plus minus stats since Floyd and became the fastest ever 1, 2 and 3 weight champion which is so easy to do no one has ever done it before and even amateur and pro great Usyk didn't even try to become a world champion until his 10th pro fight, 2 fights less than it took Loma to become a three weight champion and P4P#1

Do you think that someone who actually did become a three weight champion at what would be at least their 4th, 5th and 6th weight class had he turned pro at the same age as Shakur

And explain to me how he wouldn't have turned pro at a much lower weight than he did if he turned pro at the same age as Shakur, do you think a 26 y/o Shakur would've turned pro at 135 at 25-26?

Whilst being average sized, small and tiny for those weight classes, very often being the smaller, much or way smaller man throughout his career and extremely rarely bigger, often giving away huge physical advantages at 135 (and even at 126 and 130 he often gave away weight or a lot of weight)

And actually did win three of the four belts individually on the road in what would be, again for the umpteenth time, at least their sixth weight class had he turned pro at the same age as Shakur

Vs much or way bigger fighters and was robbed of becoming undisputed in that division vs a 20lb heavier, near 6'' longer reach massive weight bully in their backyard on a heavily stacked deck

He had no right being up at 135 in the first place and was tiny for the division but he DID win three of the four belts individually on the road not all of them in one fell swoop against a very favourable stylistic match up for him or someone he way bigger than like weight bullies do

And he was robbed of becoming undisputed at that weight class whilst giving away obscene physical advantages on a heavily stacked deck

He fought 7 world champions at that weight alone, all of whom much or way bigger than him, and he either KO'd, stopped, dropped, badly hurt or hurt every fighter he fought at that weight sans Teo

Shakur has fought 3 world champions in his entire career all either smaller than him or roughly his size despite having 3 more fight than Loma who fought 13 in 21 fights and he has only scored one KD at 135 even though he's much bigger at that weight than Loma was and that was against a domestic level electrician/part time boxer who took the fight on 4 days notice who the worst ever version of Loma would've knocked out in 4 rounds max if they had a full camp and actually trained for the fight

Even 8 stoppage wins in 43 fights Featherfists Farmer dropped and hurt Zepeda in both fights, KD not counted in the rematch but Shakur couldn't put a dent in him. That's the same Farmer who was past his prime and many feel was robbed in their first fight and gave him hell in the rematch

The only world champion Shakur has dropped was the smaller Valdez who has been dropped and hurt many times

Pray tell how many times has the amazing Shakur been outweighed by 2, 3, 4 divisions or even just by 1?

How many times has he been at a near 6 inch reach advantage?

He's never once had to contend with and overcome being at the size disadvantage Loma did routinely at 135 and numerous times below that weight too and his best wins are the bang average Herring, Valdez, Zepeda and De Los Santos all smaller than him or roughly his size so how the hell is he the best fighter in the world?

But Loma wouldn't have been able to become champions in divisions vs fighters his size or smaller than him despite never having lost to anyone smaller than him in his life and only possibly 1 opponent his size in over 420 fights. Jesus wept

Let's see Shakur fight 7 much or way bigger world champions at 154, and huge punchers at that weight who are knocking natural 154 pounders out cold with one shot, in their countries or on the road.

Let's see how long Shakur's jaw holds up vs Super Boots and how great his defence is when he's routinely giving away just under 6'' in reach

Lomas is still #3 on the plus minus now despite having campaigned in a division he's tiny for 10 fights, just under half his career, whilst routinely facing much or way bigger opponents and giving away huge physical advantages, in a division which, duh, would be his sixth if he turned pro the same age as Shakur, being past his best for years, and being way more aggressive than Shakur who was awarded a Medal of Honor at the weekend for not stinking out the joint again and standing his ground.

Do you think Shakur would still rank that high if he actually has a pair of balls as big as Loma, fighting in his 6th weight class, and was routinely facing opponents much or way bigger than him and KO artists way much or way bigger than him? He was terrified of a same size De Los Santos' power for goodness sake

'Following his dazzling performance vs. Nicholas Walters, Vasyl Lomachenko takes over the #1 spot on CompuBox's Plus Minus List with a +20.9 rating. He's the highest rated fighter since Floyd Mayweather (+24.5). Lomachenko also ranks #1 in opponents connect pct. at 16.1%-- .7% higher than master boxer Guillermo Rigondeaux.

This stat is so impressive given Loma is the busier offensive fighter (22 of 59.5 per round) to Rigos 11.6 of 49.4 per round. Normally a busier fighter is more susceptible to opponents counters. Mayweather avg'd 16.9 of 38.9 per round.

Money opponents landed 18.9%. Lomachenko lands 49.4% of his power punches, 12.1% higher than the CompuBox average. Lomachenko's opponents land just 22.7% of their power punches, 14.6% lower than the CompuBox average.'

Again, Loma is way more aggressive than Shakur and Floyd and has the reach of a T-Rex and he isn't an octopus or a cheetah. The more aggressive you are the more you leave yourself open to getting hit, even if you can hide behind a long jab and keep it long and are much less risk averse.

    Lomachenko is injury prone

If he started his career at 18 theres no telling on what would've happened on the backend of his career

Lomachenko probably would've started his career at 118 pounds and won titles at 122 and maybe 118. Hard to know for sure. Would have to look back at who was at the weight at the time

For the record I think that Lomachenko is the 4th best fighter of his era behind Crawford, Inoue and Usyk. It's interesting cause Lomachenko was rated higher than Usyk for most of their careers

    Floyd more wins than loma
    More ranked wins
    More HOF wins
    More titles
    More weight classes
    Undefeated (perhaps shouldn't be)
    More ATG fighters on resume
The Punch stats aren't just greater, but ASTRONOMICALLY greater
Yes he has a longer reach. Usyk and Ali among many others have a longer reach than Tyson, should we make excuses for him also?

Loma is NOT greater than Floyd by any measurement in pro boxing. Nobody that isn't biased thinks it.

This is my last post on the subject, but facts are facts and Floyd has much more positives of being greater than minuses when it comes to Loma

Floyd also fought at similar weight classes as an amateur and was able to beat Oscar and Canelo at 154/152. Imagine Loma fighting those same guys or cotto at 154? lol
there is nobody on Lomas resume that Floyd couldn't beat, but theire are guys on Floyd's that Loma could not beat, despite both starting in similar weight categories. Manny has also beaten guys that would kill loma and he started much lighter again

This debate is much closer if we are using Usyk, but not loma

Shakur is no doubt a Top 10 P4P fighter today. Definitely should be ranked higher than Teraji and Nakatani.

You bring up Lomachenkos balls when he was in the minor leagues until he was 25

Of course he's gonna have to fast track his career

Had he started his career at a normal age he very possibly might not have been able to move up to LW because it would've take a far bigger toll on him than all those 3 round fights with headgear vs 90% of them being against people that almost no one on here ever heard of

Stevenson is effective against aggressive but limited boxers like Zepeda, but how would he do against someone more skillful like Davis, Scofield, Lopez, or Haney?

Stevenson is very good, but has yet to prove himself to be the best. I'd like to see how he does against Scofield next.

Yes, injury prone in his 30s after 400 amateur fights and decades of gruelling training and campaigning in a division he was tiny for for almost half his career vs much or way bigger man which obviously takes a big toll on your body especially when you're as aggressive as he was.

Why was the bigger Shakur able to turn pro at 126 at 19 but Loma wouldn't have been able to turn pro at 115 at 19.

Here he is a month away from his 32nd birthday but he wouldn't have been able to turn pro at 115 at 19?

Loma hits harder than Shakur even though Shakur is a lot bigger than him, he was a much better amateur, losing only once in 400 + fights to Shakur's 13 times in just over 1/3 of that amount, he's more skilful, he's proven himself against way better opposition, routinely against much or way bigger opponents which Shakur has never done once, and should've become undisputed in what would've been at least his sixth division had he turned pro at the same age, Shakur hasn't come close to doing this yet and let's see him do that in his sixth weight class vs way bigger opponents and m world champion massive punchers who are much bigger than him

    Gruelling training nonsense haha
He didn't even have that many professional fights, take that much punishment (you pointed out the plus minus yourself) and is not even that old

He wants to retire now because he knows his style will age terribly

The training and punishment would have been far greater had he turned pro at an earlier age

He was a great fighter but not the most durable and physical

Shakur hasnt hit his prime yet

He will end his career greater than Lomachenko

It will be Shakur Stevenson and Jaron Ennis as the 2 best of the era

Probably Stevenson being considered the best

I will cautiously refrain judgement, because I need to see the chin fully tested and his lack of power is a bit of a concern, but I think he has a great chance, as he is seriously skilled and reminds me a lot of Floyd

anyhow, it is not my debate, but I saw Floyd being mentioned and it is absurd to bring the man down to Loma's level, as he proved he was greater
