Yess , Hamzah is now at his natural fighting weight now he was pushing Balanga around the ring like it was nothing , yes the same guy most of you said was too big , ohh he going to be 200lbs + lol he got handled like a doll lol

And yes ANYONE at 168 can get it .. Like Hamzah said to Andy Lee in the corner after 3rd , "I can hunt him down" Andy replied "Go do it" and the rest as they say is history lol..

So the hunt is now on .. Hamzah "The Hunter" Sheeraz put some respect on his name ..

Let's don't get ahead of ourselves yet. Consider who he destroyed. Let's see how he does against a higher level opponent than Berlanga.
It did look good and I enjoyed seeing him expose Berloser.

I don't think he beats Mbili or Iglesias, Berlanga is a glorified club fighter who had a great PR team behind him.

I really high on this guy. If he sticks with lee and works hard. He seems very grounded and religious. I think he could be a three time would championship.

Hamzah has great power and skill, but the draw he got vs Adames was a typical boxing gift, with crooked, (horrific), judging, combined with promoters following the money. Only one judge honestly scored the fight, 118-110 for Adames. The other two scored the fight as directed by their bosses, (the promoters). Hamzah is highly skilled but only if uses his jab, body shots, left hook and straight right hand, AND he must be moving forward to be effective. For his trainer to allow him to back up the entire fight, and get out punched by an opponent with half of Hamzah's skill was an absolute crime. If that's the game plan that was put together by his trainer, then his trainer is an incompetent idiot, and should be fired. It was clear that Adames has no clue how to fight going backwards, and to not force him to do that was pure idiosy. Hamzah took the fight to Berlanga, and what do you know, he beat the crap out of him. Hamzah's got some very good skills AND power. With the right trainer and proper game plan, he is gonna be tough to beat. Adames beat him easily, by at least 3-4 rounds, and was robbed, PERIOD!
The greatest sport ever, and still unbelievably corrupt !

    I
I'm not sure we can hold the judges mistakes against Sheeraz. But to his performance in that fight he did legit break his hand in the 4th round which explains a lot from that round onwards.

Plus is suspect he was quite drained to make 160lbs, and he looks a lot healthier at 168lbs which can have an effect on a lot of things from chin to stamina to power.

Also he has Andy Lee in his corner, which go along to prevent him making the mistakes he made against Adames again.

I suppose what I am trying to say, that these three things combined make his Adames performance less relevant at judging his overall skill and ceiling than previously thought.

Nah, Berlanga KO´d club fighters in the first round. Did so 17 times in a row actually.
What Berlanga is, is a top 30ish guy. What he is not, is a world class boxer.

I wonder if he could beat Mosley Jr.

People, especially Brits, have always underrated Sheeraz. Probably because his name is Hamzah Sheeraz and he identifies as a muslim.

Let's not get carried away, it's Berlanga we're talking about here. Probably the dumbest fighter at 168. There are plenty of other sharks at 168 and Hamzah has been wobbled before. If history has taught anything is that no matter how good a fighter is, if you've been wobbled before someone will eventually come along and do more than just wobble you. Who that will be at 168 (or 175), only time will tell.

No? Sheeraz has consistently been having hype heaped onto him over the last 2 years or so. He's been compared to Tommy Hearns frequently by more than just Frank Warren but by fans and even some boxing journalists. He was even lauded as being the best fighter at MW for a while despite his only decent win being Ammo Williams.

Brits are the ones hyping him. In fact, they haven't shut up about him since he KO´d Liam Williams.
