Sweet Pea (and Bud) had a mean streak; Loma did not. He didn't even respond after taking numerous shots below the belt vs Salido. Pea would have buried his fist up through Salido's groin.

With all the support pernell had at the start of his career, that Saleazo weigh in **** wouldn’t have flied. His promoter and people woulda pulled out and Saleazo fined. Big time. And after I’d say probably the 3rd blatant low blow… Salido woulda been deducted a point. After the 4th or 5th one probably a 2nd point. Then a DQ and a suspension for Saleazo.

But Loma didn’t have the same (Or anywhere near for that matter) support pernell had. Why?? Loma was a talent from the Ukraine that had already **** in certain peoples cornflakes by winning two Olympic Golds and winning Boxer Of The Games to boot!

 

You're not taking into account a few things.

1. This fight would be at Lightweight where as Lomachenko's best weight was below that.

2. There's absolutely nothing to suggest Loma is a better fighter than Whitaker. On the all time P4P lists Whitaker would be well ahead of Loma.

3. You suggested Loma could stop Whitaker ? When Whitaker way past his prime took a prime Tito's best punches at Welterweight without being stopped ? Yeah I think that's very far fetched.

Loma is a great Whitaker is an ATG big difference.
