Joe Frazier FOTC vs mike Tyson

Most likely scenario:

• Tyson comes out blazing.

• Frazier tries to weather the storm but gets caught with brutal uppercuts early.

• While Frazier has more heart and long-term stamina, he might not survive Tyson’s early onslaught.

Prediction:
✅ Mike Tyson by KO in rounds 3–5.

BUT… if Frazier survives to round 7 or later, his chances dramatically improve—he could drown Tyson mentally and physically. In that case, it might go:

Frazier by late TKO or decision (less likely, but not impossible).

Realistic Probability:

• Tyson KOing Frazier: 70–80%

• Frazier KOing Tyson: 10–15%

• Frazier winning a decision: 10–15%

• Tyson winning decision: very rare (he didn’t like going 12 vs pressure)

 

I think FOTC Frazier's toughness, heart, conditioning and relentless work rate would withstand Tyson's early attack and he would ultimately wear Mike down and win a brutal war. (BUT--it would have to be the FOTC version of Frazier--any other version would lose to Tyson.)

 

If Frazier coming out hating Tyson like he did Ali, he takes this.

 

Tyson for me Frazier gets hit quite a lot and Tyson is faster and more powerful so IMO he should get in first.

 

Agree 100%--Frazier was simply not going to lose March 8, 1971. If he had to die in the ring that night to win he would have. Tyson even at his very best could not match this level of intensity--which is why I think THAT specific version of Joe Frazier would prevail in this hypothetical matchup. (But MAN, it would be one hell of a war!! I'd crawl through barbed wire to see this one live LMAO!!)

 

No one beats Tyson at his own game. To beat him you need a height advantage, a long jab from the outside and be able to clinch with him. None of those things Frazier did. Tyson round 6 TKO but I would be rooting for Frazier

 

I’ve said that prime Tyson … and he was only prime for a relatively tiny period of time … had a chance against anyone, but he has the least chance against FOTC Frazier.

 

Bloody fight that either man could win. I narrowly went with Tyson only because I don’t think Frazier could take too many of those bombs at close range but I could be wrong

 

FOTC Frazier is insanely driven. I dont believe Tyson has it in him to take this. Matter of fact most men not named Foreman do.

I like Mike Tyson by knockout in this fight. If Frazier can absorb the brutal punishment he would receive and survive it, then he would win.

 

Frazier watches Tyson vs Marvis and comes in fueled as much as he was for Ali to get the win.
