Would Tony Thomson see out the early storm and take Morrison apart and perhaps stop him?

    Who wins this matchup?

I like Tony Thompson’s chances in this one. Not that I’d definitely pick him to win but I do think that it’s possible. Tony had decent power was moderately skilled and had a lot of size and heart. Not writing off Morrison but I’m leaning towards Thompson

Thompsons as close as you can get to an ATG at HW IMO without being one. I don't think hes appreciated enough.

Thompson by KO. Tommy was always frail from being a meth head.

My instinct is to go for Morrison but Thompson was a tall, awkward customer. I agree TT is hella underrated these days. Have to think about this one.

Same here, even though it feels wrong, I sense that it is right.

Agree. Thompson wasn’t a particularly impressive fighter to watch but he was damn hard to get out of there and sometimes found ways to win against good fighters

I think Thompson has this really tricky awkward style that even gave Klitschko some trouble. Think Morrison is too chinny to be able to deal with him

I’m going to go with the Duke here.

I think he jumps on TT early, gets a knockdown or two, then Thompson trudges his way back into the fray. Morrison showed a few times, especially with Joe Hipp (who was one tough customer) that he could win an attrition fight so I think Tommy huffs and puffs his way to a late rally that’s enough to give him the edge onthe cards.

    Good matchup. I like it.

Tony Thompson is one of those guys that physically and athletically seems like he shouldn't be any good at boxing, but he was actually pretty crafty and durable.

I think he is more likely to stop Morrison than vice versa.
