I can quote so many articles from Ring magazine and KO boxing talking about how bad the HW scene was at different periods. There were very large stretches of time in that decade when the division looked dire. Lewis was knocked out by an undercard Tyson sparring mate. Holyfield looked like complete dog**** in half his fights. Bowe ate himself out of career in record time. Tyson had the worst crash out in sports history. Extremely old guys like Foreman and Holmes were able to compete for major titles.

Come on man. That's like apples to tacos. There would be no worry about cutting off the ring against Kabayel. Because all Kabayel also wants to do is throw down. Bro went in against a monster puncher known for having no stamina and rather than dancing around for a few rounds to tire the guy out, just went RIGHT at him.

I'd love okolie vs Itauma and see the former scraped off the canvas afterwards and removed from the venue in a pizza box

MMA has a 155 lb division, maybe that would suit you too!

Remember when your ginger man crush avoided GGG at 160 and wanted to stay at 155 catchweight because he couldn't make 154 anymore and then vacated his title to not fight?

I have a good memory bozo, log off, Canelo will never be on Usyk's level.

The problem with this comparison is that Ali turned pro at 18, so by the time he was 38 he had been a pro for 20 years with around 60 pro fights under his belt.

Usyk on the other hand turned pro at 26 and has been in only 24 pro fights, so he has a lot less wear and tear at 38 compared to Ali.

I don't know why people keep ignoring it was his first real fight at HW as a pro and first against a world level opponent. Chisora is a very tough introduction to HW pro boxing over 12 rounds even if you're a 250lb + massive punching giant it's impossible to keep him off of you and he just keeps coming from first bell to last applying nonstop pressure and he's crazy tough too

Chisora may not be s-tier in terms of skills, reflexes, or power (although his overhand right is pretty damn powerful), but in terms of grit, toughness, meanness, warrior heart? He's up there with guys like Evander Holyfield.

Clenelo couldn’t even beat Bivol, lol. He was a -600 favorite. Total loser, overrated clown.

Clenelo will never come close to Usyk.

    It's what people always do.

They over exaggerate after a big fight and then start talking nonsense discrediting past great fighters.

In reality its Dubois who is not that good and Usyk was an overwhelming favourite against a fighter he already beat without losing a single round to.

Impressive finish from Usyk and he deserves credit for the age he is at but the amount of nonsense that gets spouted after a big fight makes me shake my head in disbelief.

Imagine discrediting Ali who had parkinsons and wasn't even fit to fight losing to a top 5 Heavyweight in his prime in Holmes just an absolute garbage post in all honesty.

Sure but it wasn't like Usyk just up and picked up the sport the day of his pro debut. 350 amateur bouts (over thrice as many as Ali), more often than not as the smaller man. That is wear & tear as well.

    Yes but age is age

Usyk isn’t gonna fight much longer, he has zero to prove

Even he hasn't fought that many punchers when you think about it, especially for his number of fights to punchers faced ratio
