Pretty much this. Still plenty of fights out there for Dubois and he'll come again and may even rule the division in a few years.

The fact that people are begging for Usyk to face Parker next tells you all you need to know as to how far ahead of the rest Usyk is. He's got nothing left to prove.

I don't think Dubois did badly tonight, bearing in mind he absolutely wiped out Joshua, Usyk is just different gravy.

To absolutely dominate in an era of big, big men is astonishing, his power lb for lb has to be up there with anyone who has stepped in the ring.

Who is out there for Usyk now...

Parker gets brutalised, Fury talks a good game but basically can't be arsed, AJ is a peaheart and gets done again, Wilder doesn't see round 5, Chisora needs to hang them up, I can't see anyone who doesn't just get totally wiped out by Usyk for the next 3 years.

Nothing more for Usyk to prove. Love watching him fight. But part of me would like him to hang them up whilst at the top of the mountain. If he continues, Parker and Kabayel are most worthy of the chance. Though he beats both.

Thanks to the boxing media and the march of time, there will always be something to prove. I'm no UFC fan but followed the whole Jon Jones retirement thing; a guy around the same age who beat a good era getting noised up by a mouthy Brit with a string of bin men KOs - and decides to hang them up rather than get dragged into it. Just like that, you can see Frank trying to unleash Itauma in a year's time but you can't see Usyk walking away from that; there's literally nobody else coming up for him to beat.

I don’t think it’s a case of wanting to prove something. I’m not sure why people are fixated on that. It’s probably more the enormous sums of money and the fact this is what he’s been doing for twenty years and now he’s at the top. It’s probably extremely fulfilling.

    Hats off haha.

The brown nosing of Usyk, and Messi in football before him, is starting to really annoy me.

Class fighter and a class man but some of the hyperbole.. Good grief.

Did not expect Usyk to win so convincingly. He's cleared out the heavyweight division. Nothing else to achieve for him. Time to retire, I say.

Did you hear the lack of crowd reaction when Parkers name was mentioned last night by Usyk?

    Nobody cares about Parker

I'm certain it's why he gets left out as people don't see money

He was topping polls (apparently - could be fake numbers) for who Usyk should box next on the DAZN network and other online news sites.

The people who are advocating for it are doing it because he's most deserving of his chance, not one person is advocating for it because they believe that Parker can actually beat him.

Tells you all you need to know about how far ahead Usyk is ahead of the rest if Parker is next in line.

Is Parker really more deserving than Kabayel? Parker's win against Bakole is farcical and shouldn't really be taken into consideration when trying to come to a conclusion based on merit. He stunk his way past old and shot Wilder with one good flurry in the entire fight and he couldn't put him down. He absolutely bored his way past Zhang, who put him down twice, while Zhang was dealt with convincingly by Kabayel.

I agree with what you are saying - that is the consensus - but I don't think it's grounded in any convincing argument. From an entertainment standpoint Parker wouldn't even make the top 20. The plus side to Usyk vs Parker is that someone will put an end to this Parker overrating but since there is no harm in losing to Usyk someone else will need to put the final nail in the coffin after Usyk beats him.

Parker was a useful foil in the Sky-driven heyday. Nobody gives a **** outside of that, nice guy though he is. Now I suspect he's been both perfect for, and ruined by, Saudi money. He put in great work and his winning streak but he probably made enough fighting Wilder and Zhang that he doesn't need to push it too hard any more. Sat back waiting on his mandatory.

What a call. Muy bien hecho!

I only hope and pray you backed it up with a decent sized bet. If not, that must be truly heart breaking.
