I don't, I think Whyte will be the guy that Itauma violently KO's quickly, which will send the Itauma Is Unstoppable Hypetrain into overdrive, which will lead to all of the fanboy's heads collectively exploding, when someone that no one expects, like Nelson Hysa or Joseph Goodall derails it.
It's defintely a step up fight for Itauma and that's all that matters. I'd be surprised if he hasn't sparred Whyte before. If Ituama is legit he'll beat this old Whyte fairly handily. If he toys with Whtye and chins him early then we have someone to keep watching. Need to see what condition Whyte is in to best honest, he was a proper crude plodder even in his prime...if he's an old way past it plodder then it counts for much less.
Puncher's chance because Whyte can crack. But that's it. He's glacially slow compared to Ituama. Ituama may well have limitations -- I'm worried about his stamina actually. But I'm 100% convinced he's deadly as hell for 4-5 rounds between his hand speed and power. He's got the fastest hands at HW, by far, and if you watch him, it usually just takes him one punch landing flush to hammer a guy to the canvas. I'm mostly convinced he's got the same speed/power combo as Mike Tyson. The rest remains to be proved -- chin, heart, stamina, etc. If he's lacking in those, he'll be found out.
I don't know if my brain will be able to deal with this potential hype train. As if Itauma wins, in which I'm not convinced he will - he'll be compared even more with Usyk, and the likes of Mike Tyson etc.
Whytes chin isn't even made of glass anymore, it's made of sand, an uppercut is thrown three feet from it and it will blow it away. I don't see anyway for him to win except landing a hail Mary, and to do that he will have to open himself up, i would not be surprised if Itauama wins by KO1
Took loads of damage in Chisora I (eyes rolled back about 10 times), loads of damage against AJ before getting brutally KO'd, Helenius hurt him badly with a jab, dropped by Rivas, dropped by Parker, knocked out cold by Povetkin, knocked out by Fury. On top of that, he's known for having sparring wars regularly. He went from taking AJ's best shots for 7 rounds to getting one shotted by Fury. He looked horrible against Tetteh who is worse than Demsey McKean.
It's still doubtful this fight will happen since Whyte has to endure a truckload of experimental drugs Aydamn is putting him through. All we know is that the Dillian Whyte we see now is nothing like the Dillian Whyte 10 years ago, these kind of "treatments" are unnatural.
lol. You consistently post this kind of shite about a variety of topics. You really have no clue about boxing.Genuinely clueless.
A good version of Whyte would stand a realistic chance but this most recent version of Whyte will likely get KOed.
What if swift runs out of gas? Itauma relies heavily on his athleticism, and everything he does is rather explosive. It will be interesting to see how well this holds up after 4 rounds, now that he is 250lbs. Against Espindola he did slow down a fair bit after the 3rd, and at times was completely dropping his hands while clearly gasping for air. This was against an opponent who offered fairly little resistance. But then again, Itauma was just 18 at the time, and this was 2 years ago. The fact that Itauma has not gone past the second round since the Espindola fight, is what makes this a really dangerous fight for him, and a fairly interesting one for the fans. If Whyte can endure, dig to the body, and push this fight into the second half, then he could possibly pull the upset. This content is protected Espindola at the time was probably more durable than Whyte is today. He was very good at defending himself.
Pretty much this. I think Itauma probably wins, and I hope he does... But if Whyte trains hard enough, and Itauma isn't as special as he's hyped up to be, then it could easily go the other way. Hopefully it'll tell us something interesting, either way.
I see where you’re coming from, Itauma is unproven, people are getting exited and thinking it’s guaranteed he’s gonna be an ATG, based on the fact he blasted out Wach who *was* durable, but the key word is ‘was’, he was in his mid 40s when he fought Itauma, well old enough for his chin to age declined significantly and people didn’t really factor that. I doubt Whyte will be the man to expose Itauma, but there are still unknowns with Itauma.
