Dubois is a real boxer, a real athlete, he is 6-5, 245 pounds. Galento is the guy in the video. Dubois could knockout Galento on his way to a fight.

My god! This guy actually fought for a world title. His uppercuts are pure comedy. Off balance, zero footwork.

The rehabilitation of Galento here is comical.

He actually knocked down Joe Louis with a beautiful left hook, believe it or not. The guy in THAT video knocked down Joe Louis.

Which, ok, only made Joe Louis mad and get up to batter him around the ring, but still.

Yeah, I saw that clip before. Galento was as crude of a world title challenger as I have seen.

People think hyping up guys like galento makes them smarter than the average boxing fan when in fact it makes them dumber, because galento was never anything more than what he was. Just a stop on the bum of the month tour.

It's easy to make fun of Galento and he clearly was not a top-tier heavyweight. However, the guy could bang, was in better shape than commonly thought, and most importantly was as TOUGH AS NAILS. By no means would I count him out completely in a fight with Dubois.

Dude, that is next level science. You wish you could find such a specimen with such immaculate technique to hone into a champion!

Tony gets the stuffing knocked out of him.
It would be comical to watch.

Tbf, I think it's (mostly) intended to be.

There are people here who legitimately think (or argue) that he was some H2H beast. I honestly think it's damage control for Louis's KD of him. People simply can't grasp that Louis was dropped by such an inept fighter (and by extension, the implications on his feasibility against modern fighters), so they make Galento out to be something he wasn't.

Perhaps some make authentic pro-Galento posts, whilst I suspect for others it's mostly tongue-in-cheek. I could be wrong.

My kind of autism this thread! Actually, think Galento would be quite competitive.

Personally, Galento reminds me of David Tua with his squat build, left hook and the way he fights.
