But did Dubois? Or did he keep his head practically on one level, hands placement wrong, took punches instead of rode them?
It's easy for Usyk to look good when he's fighting opponents even more basic than he is..

He absolutely does. This classic section is 60+ men thinking Marciano hurts a 6'6 250lb man..

I am a lot younger than 60. Its amazing that people can't actually address the original post so they are grasping at straws trying to change the topic.

    Very insightful.

I am particularly drawn to the comparison of an apple with an orange.

I think I will leave the word "HEAVYWEIGHT" in for Joe Louis since I have never seen a Heavyweight, who I think was better than Joe.

McGrain meant Louis is not only the greatest combination puncher at heavyweight, but at any weight i.e. the greatest combination puncher in the history of the sport.

He would appear as a space alien the difference between him and his competition being so vast. He would go to the house every third time he toted the rock.

Much like Anthony Joshua transported back to the 1930's.

Him and/or Holyfield. I don't think Usyk is quite loose enough to throw combinations like Holyfield or Louis, as an example from the latest ATG.

Drop me a PM. I’m well stocked and have more than a few to spare……amazing what you can get from Amazon these days, and free, next day delivery on top……

……though the last delivery guy was a bit spacey, telling me to watch out for the non existent snakes slithering at my door step….I did a count and sure enough, my order was more than a few short…..I wrote it off as an involuntary “tip”….

I see you didn’t touch my statement that Aaron Judge would struggle to hit 10 home runs if you could transport him back to 1905. Given the specific reasons I cited, I don’t think you can.

Bottom line, I think the true greats of any sport, including boxing, could excel in any era. You don’t. I am not going to change your mind or concede you are right. You are not going to change my mind or concede that I am right. So we are at an impasse. So let’s drop it.

Aaron Judge would rewrite the record books even in the dead ball era. Babe Ruth was a skinny fat man with little girl legs. Judge is yoked, swole, jacked!

No, no, no. We are the most blessed generation now. We dwarf our predecessors in any and every measurable. What was Joe Louis' 40 time? What did he bench? Exactly.

I could take any second string NFL linebacker, transport him back to the 30's with his 4.3 speed and 29 reps on 225 and he would dominate every heavyweight available.
