I think Evander Holyfield would have won, if he had showed up with the right style to take advantage of Ken Norton's style, but it would have been be a very entertaining fight, either way.

I think it would be a very competitive fight yes. Leaning towards Holyfield but Norton matches up well with Holyfield

I love this match-up! I don't ever recall this hypothetical posted, and I think it would be one of the most entertaining one to boot! It will be a high-activity war, and this is one of the few all-time match-ups where Norton is a (very) live underdog - or even an even bet. I very slightly favor Holyfield still but not confident.

 

I don't think Evander could stun Norton like Foreman did and he couldn't back Kenny up consistently while Norton's underrated jab would be the deciding factor controlling the fight . Plus I'd rank Norton as a harder puncher than Holyfield ,. A prime Evander couldn't get ancient fighters like Foreman and Holmes outta there, He wouldn't take out Norton either who would take a UD and a late stoppage in 15 isn't out of the question.

 

I'll say it again.. Holyfield would stun Norton- with a bodyshot under Norton's high guard. Holyfield would hold on to it until the later rounds, and then let it rip, to the body. Holyfield takes over after that.
