I personally like the Parker vs Bakole KO the most, one punch with a delayed reaction and the wobbles before he fell down. Not a huge fan of Usyk KO of Dubois, because Dubois looked like he could have got up if he really wanted to. And Nyika's KO was a bit too nasty for me. I'm not sure how they assess KO of the year though.
Usyk's KO was a thing of beauty. Watching it back in slow mo was so satisfying. That gets my vote, Opetaia KOing Nyika was scary tho, bloke legit looked dead for a minute.
I’d opt for Usyk-Dubois. It just looks so good - in real time, slowed right down and from all available angles. It also capped a nice old punch up also, Daniel having landed a powerful right hand himself not long before the KO. Usyk was in “Okay, let’s do this and settle it right now” mode. If not for Uysk’s chin, that right hand might’ve altered the complexion somewhat - it certainly altered and halted AJ’s 11th hour momentum - but then AJ’s chin is arguably somewhat below that of Dubois’, let alone Usyk’s. Finally, after outboxing Dubois, Usyk also ultimately out punched the designated power puncher for the most complete of victories - not bad going at all.
Usyk's KO of Dubois Opetaia's KO of Nyika I know it was a mismatch but I was ringside, Thurman's KO of Jarvis was beautiful.
