Jimmy Wilde was knocking out grown men for fun in local phone booth fights as a kid, not only that but he's also rated the 3rd greatest puncher of all time by the Ring Magazine, I can't see how Shields survives if he connects cleanly.

 

She could probably outbox him but at some point he ices her.

 

Wilde is #16 on my ATG p4p list. His feats are astonishing.

So far Im aware, a 125lbs opponent is the biggest he ever beat. A remarkable achievement given he was 105lbs. It's the equivalent of a Minimumweight beating a Featherweight by today's standards, an incomprehensible 6 weight division difference. Such a fight simply wouldn't be sanctioned today and rightfully so.

A 175lbs opponent, however, even a woman, albeit the best woman ever? I'm not sure. At some point the size discrepancy offsets the innate advantages males have over females.
