What was Marvin Hagler's best performance before winning the title from Minter?

To bad a lot of his old fights aren't on film but from the one's you seen before winning the title from Minter what was his best performance ?

 

We all know Marvin fought all the tough guys on his way up ... the scariest was his destruction of Hamani ... scary stuff ..

He was such a beast and people forget Marvin could not only box but he could do it from both sides. I actually might argue that Marvins opponents on the way to the title shot were much harder then most boxers title defenses.

 

Hagler looked really good against Monroe III, Seales III, Hamani, and Watts II.

 

going to be a long time before we ever see a guy fighting worthy and tough opponents like that. And the frequency---that many tough bouts in a short timeframe. Being a road warrior and having that many rematches before getting a title shot.

Which manager or promoter would do that with a prospect?

 

Maybe not the best of his many top quality performances, but Hagler's win over Mike Colbert is often overlooked.

 

His destruction of Willie the Worm in their rubber match gets my vote:
