They have pretty similar haircuts, lean builds, and skin tone ...so if their ring gear was similarly colored I was planning on telling who is who by their navels (the pre-fight "Tale of Tape" graphic showed that Pérez has an outtie and Marcano an innie :sisi1) ...unfortunately both have their waistbands hiked up a bit too high, fully covering their belly buttons.

Thankfully, the attire is very different. Pérez has the pink and black with silver tassle dangling from the waist (the nonplussed commentators attempted to describe them simply by saying that he's wearing "...un conflagración") and Marcano has the white trunks with gold trim.

Marcano rung Pérez's bell a few times with the right cross in R1.

@The Professor did you bail? Decent little scrap between ring virgins starting to unfold here.

Marcano trying to impress, going for the KO, very aggressive.

    Fight stopped?

Yeah, I have Marcano winning in a competitive match thus far. Thanks for helping me figure out who was who, otherwise I would've said, "the guy in the white trunk is winning!

Marcano had more dog in him than the other kid.

Caldera is the skinnier/taller kid with the orange belt.

Again fight experience is identical, in this case both 2-0.

Caldera is yet to score a stoppage in either of his pro bouts so far. He is throwing heat like he means to end that drought today.

I was about to give Caldera the round, with about thirty seconds left, when he got Medina on the ropes with a series of straight rights - but then ate a big counter left hook that backed him up and shook him. Medina followed up with a bunch more hooks and with a little more time he might've put Caldera down.

Same. Clearly Caldera was winning until the very end. I'd still give it to him narrowly I suppose - but that late flurry made it debatable

As a boxer, tuning out the roar of the crowd as a distraction is one thing...but how the hell do you ever get used to people blasting vuvuzelas?
