Not Okolie. Dear God that would be a boring fight.

    Or AJ fights Jake Paul

Usyk fights Fury who loses AGAIN

And boxing turns into the circus we always feared it might become

Officially, Usyk has 23 days remaining to either accept the Parker fight or abandon the WBO title.

...or some shifty sh_t goes down and some other sh_t happens instead.

23 days remaining, if an extension isn't requested.

I want this fight to happen, Parker wants it. Seems a lot of folk do.
But I would understand if Usyk didn't depending on what his goals are with his remaining fights. He has little to prove at this stage.
But if he doesn't want it he shouldn't hold up the division and drop the belt.

Sadly, if we look at this critically. Usyk (as great as he is) has nearly always hand-picked his opponents since he stepped up to heavyweight.

He has refused to fight anyone he didn't want to fight on a schedule he was not happy with since he entered the Heavyweight division. It started as early as Spong. It continued with Joyce. As mandatory he signed up for a rematch with Joshua. He refused to fight anyone but Fury, blocking Hrgovic. He then blocked Hrgovic to allow Dubois to heal, then again to fight Dubois at home. He then fought Fury. Refused the IBF and fought Fury again. Ignored Parker and chose Dubois...

    There's a pattern

I think if Itauma beats Whyte,

There may be a chance he could face Parker for the belt...

    WBO Interim champ: Joseph Parker

    1
    Moses Itauma
    2
    Filip Hrgovic
    3
    Zhilei Zhang
    4
    Lawrence Okolie
    5
    Daniel Dubois
    6
    Jared Anderson
    7
    Anthony Joshua
    8
    Derek Chisora

This is almost comically stupid. He beat The two reigning champs twice, his #1 contender, and then the guy who was gifted his belt to get it back.

    You think he ducked Sprong?

He beat Joyce in WSB winning five or five rounds.

Who the hell was he going to fight? Wilder? Whyte?

His next big challenge is the resurgent Parker. He's got 23 says to accept. That is all.

A lot can go wrong in 23 days in boxing. A hell of a lot. We shall see.

No wonder he is being frozen out!

Beyond the Hrgovic situation Usyk has beaten everyone put in front of him otherwise. Rematchroom wouldn't let aj proceed with an Usyk fight without a rematch clause, they never do, and Fury was seen as the final obstacle. I wouldn't be suspicious of anything until Usyk drops his belt while Parkers mandatory

    This.

Usyk moves up and beats the two top guys campaigning at heavyweight, and he's accused of "ducking" and cherrypicking.
