More Skilled Light-Heavyweight: Matthew Saad Muhammad Or Artur Beterbiev?

Love both of them but Beterbiev is the more complete guy. He is significantly better defensively than Saad was. With that said, Saad's heart and determination is what set him apart from other fighters. The guy was a warrior through and through.

 

I would say that Beterbiev is more powerful but Saad was more aggressive. One important factor is the size and difference in era's. Beterbiev has a full 24hrs to rehydrate in his era and is likely in the 190's in ring. Saad was from the same day weigh in era and likely would be a super middleweight today or maybe even a middleweight.

Beterbiev is much more methodical while Saad would throw cation to the wind when he had someone hurt.

 

Saad is FAR more proven against better competition at 175

 

I think Saad was more well rounded in his skill set. Beterbiev is very skilled as well but relies a bit too much on his punching power for my liking

 

Beterbiev is better schooled in the fundamentals, but Saad was more creative. It showed in how he used his jab.
