Deontay Wilder trilogy with Larry Holmes rather than Tyson Fury

Wilder might score 1 or 2 knockdowns in 3 fights. Holmes beats him every time

 

No, Larry wouldn't ever beat Wilder as easily as Fury did in the rematch but he'd for sure win every time with overall less damage taken than Fury, he was far more consistent in comparison.

 

You don't really need a trilogy, because Holmes would have won the first two fights (and he would have won the third). Judging by Shavers Larry takes the punches well. Holmes has one of the most effective job in HW history, and he's no Artur Szpilka.

 

Yes, I see Larry getting floored but ultimately stopping Deontay in the first two fights (inside 12) and winning a UD for the 3rd.

 

I think Holmes goes 2-0 eliminating the need for a trilogy. But both wins would be decisions and he might get dropped in one or both of them

 

Larry beats Wilder up. Like really busts him up.

 

Holmes can likely yield a winning result that renders any rematch pointless.

But, if contractually obliged to give Wilder another go, Holmes wins again and probably improves on the previous result.

Wilder stops him at least once. He was able to land big on each of his opponents in that time period, he's historically a better finisher than Shavers, and unlike Earnie enjoys some length advantage.

 

It would never warrant a rematch.

Larry would have stopped that dope the first time around... in a one sided battering.

 

Yeah, the same Wilder who needed until the late rounds to dispatch of such legends as Molina and Arthur Spilka (sp).

Wilder is never beating Holmes.

Larry would beat the ever living Hell outta that fraud.

 

2-1 Holmes w two decision wins and a KO loss.
