What's next for Joshua? A rebuilding fight? He's approaching 35 now and is still in his prime.

Is he still considered a top 10 fighter? It's definitely not a good look when the guy who outboxed, outfought, and outright dominated you subsequently gets outboxed, outfought, and dominated by another fighter. I don't think Dubois landed a glove on Usyk, but he couldn't seem to miss the "better than ever" rebuilt Joshua who was fresh off his huge victory over Otto Wallin.

I may have missed if there was a fight scheduled, please let me know in the replies below. I hope Joshua is hard at work with Ben Davison honing his skills.

Joshua's next opponent, as rediculous as it sounds, may well be Jake Paul. Even Hearn now saying it is likely to take place early in 2026.

Still in his prime? lol no. Usyk 2 was the last fight in his prime. That Joshua is nightmare matchup historically for any HW. This Joshua now? I wouldn’t be surprised if Itauma or Torrez knocked him out.

Apparently the frontrunners for his next fight are Jake Paul, which everyone's been talking about for awhile now, and Tony Yoka, which apparently AJ himself said he was "90% sure" would be his next fight.

Course the dream is, after that he faces Tyson Fury. I think I read recently Turki wanted to make that but give them both tune ups beforehand. We know how his luck with tuneups for bigger fights go though  Sadly it's looking more and more like that'll be one of the Bowe-Lewis fights of this generation.

My hope is that he defends the honor of the sweet science once more, against we all know who, and after that 30 second effort just retires.

He’s willing to fight Fury, but Fury won’t do it. He’d definitely be willing to fight Wilder, but Wilder won’t do it. If Usyk retires and the belts are freed up, Fury and Parker end up with them.

Not much left for AJ. Take the big money, drill Jake Paul into the canvas, retire

Crazy that AJ has literally two Riddick Bowe V Lennox Lewis examples in Fury and Wilder.

Joshua is shot. I agree Itauma would KO him if a fight happens today.

Fighting Paul would be a waste of time like Ngannou was. If he intends to fight Fury next year then he should have a tune up against somebody who's a semi decent actual pro opponent like Yoka.

Stop with these "tune ups" for a bit, he's old enough and experienced enough. Filling up his resume with Wallins and Seferis and Ngannous and Chisora instead of any number of contenders. Is he elite or not? Does he have to infinitely crush bums in between meaningful fights or can he just exist at the top like he should and fight in fights that aren't one sided beatdowns

EDIT: Thought this was about Fury, but same applies. "Tune ups".

I'd rather him fight Fury immediately but as of now that looks very unlikely, which is why I'm saying that out of the two listed options he should take the Yoka tune up rather than a pointless fight against Paul. This is assuming he'll fight Fury and then retire. If he intends to go for a title again soon then he should atleast fight a back half top 10 guy.

I’d love to see Jake Paul vs Joshua tbh.

Perfect time for Joshua-Wilder, both are shot to pieces so it's an even playing field

I say a Wlad rematch! Lol Can’t tell me those two wouldn’t sell out Wembley and it would be perfect for Wlad to avenge that one and possibly get that title shot.

Just NOT against Usyk :D Maybe against whoever gets the WBO after Usyk vacates it eventually. I don’t think Usyk wants to keep that one anyway. And it will give Wlad a chance at the record.

I guess if you wanted to see Paul take a short one sided beating that would be a good fight.
