Obviously Nigel Benn comes to mind.
Conteh, Buchanan, Stracey and Watt all excelled in the 70s.

Paul Hodkinson was a splendid featherweight from Liverpool who had a somewhat brief career, I think fighting once after he lost his title. Bit of a shooting star but I’d say at his peak he’s a bit underrated among 126-pounders … not a hidden ATG but wouldn’t be an easy out for anyone imo.

Continuing the theme, some lesser lights such as, Evan Armstrong, a dour, tough, little fighter, Les Pickett, another hard scrapper, came from way behind to stop the very smooth Vernon Sollas, add Alan Salter, avoided by some, not Green, who did a number on him, Carl Spear, a box/fighter of some repute, Paddy Maguire, you knew you were in for a fight, Billy Waith, from Wales, a 70s version of Locche, Steve Hopkin, a cousin of Green, with the same style, and lastly Frankie Lucas, my oh my, what a cantankerous, belligerent, tough as nails fighter he was, so many old names, so many nice memories.
