Who we got tomorrow DDP or Chimaev? Khamzat is the favourite it seems and my gut tells me he will probably force some kind of stoppage or submission in the 2nd round. But it's worth noting the best fighters he has faced showed him to be lacking in adaptability and stamina. These were welterweights aswell. DDP looks so rough in doing it but he is the sort of guy that will kill your momentum with his awkwardness and determination. I really want to see this go into a 4th or 5th round.
The two guys that gave Chimaev a good fight, were also two guys with really solid ground games. I don´t know if DDP is on their level when it comes to that.
So pumped for the fight tonight. Probably up there for me in my most anticipated ufc fights... Im rooting heavily for Chimaev but I put some money on DDP and DDP by stoppage. I like Chimaev and hope he proves me wrong but I dont think he quite has the level to beat the type of fighter DDP is. We'll see though.
Yup. If DDP can hold his own on the ground, then he will have an easy time with the standup. Chimaev is pretty much a one trick pony when it comes to standup. He only does a couple of moves over and over. Looked completely lost against Usman in the third round.
